I was cut off today driving on US-101 South towards San Jose today. Here's is some footage of my personal ACDF setup in action.

 

Looks like it works just as well as my stock horns!

 

Trust me they sound better in person. An integrated microphone on a dashcam can’t capture how they really are.

 

I miss worded that, what I meant to say was, the driver of that car paid as much attention to your Cadillac horns as drivers do with my stock horns. In other words, they just continue cutting you off. At least they didn't give you the one finger salute!

 

Not much he could do, he was already merging into my lane. If anything I scared the hell out of him.

Joined this forum just to get in on your group buy. I`m driving a FJ Cruiser so I know I can make these fit. My question is I don`t have a pay pal acct so do you have a site set up to take debit cards?

Is your lead time still a month or so?

Also is the price for the ACDF set up still $185?

Average lead time is still one to two months per group buy. Everything is made to order.

Unfortunately I only take PayPal. It is very simple to make an account with PayPal, however.

I will put your name down for the next one. Just make sure you stay subscribed to this tread as I sell on a first come, first serve basis and over the three group buys I have done, I have sold out in less than a few hours every time.

Sure i`m over on the FJ Cruiser forum and we have several guys that own Tacomas who are members here. They were telling us that you have a group buy on these cool horns so they said to come over and check it out.

Awesome! Can't wait. Thanks for sharing photos of the process. I wasn't aware you were actually reviving old units; I know nothing about these horns and their availability.

 

I salvage these horns from junkyards all over Northern California. They haven’t been manufactured for more than 25 years.

I test, sandblast, prime, and paint every single one.

 

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. Very cool. I'm a big fan of re-purposing and keeping things like this alive. That makes it all that much better, knowing that people can't just go to the store and put this setup together.

 

Horns like this don’t exist anymore. Car manufacturers are going out and putting only the bare minimim. There is a reason why you only find these in old high end land yachts. These were the best of the best back in the 70’s, 80’s, and early 90’s.
