School busses are about 20 years behind on technology. They only started putting thermometers (outside air temp) on them in the last five years. Backup cameras only happened happened about a year ago. We had one two years ago, but that was because we got to be one of the advance testers for the new tech. Oh yea, no driver airbags yet. Don't know when that will ever happen.

I would say yes, but that is just an assumption really. I bet Zane would know. Are they rerunning the same path as last year?

I used some parts to rebuild that 4Runner last year. I got knuckles from Digiratus, which were same with the exception of the brake hose mounting location. Not a deal breaker but the brakes on the 4Runner were larger than that of the Tacoma, which I thought weird because the Tacoma is rated for more towing capacity.

Never did meet up with Monte although we were in the same area pretty much the entire time. Took the chief Joeseph highway to Cooke City then into Goose lake for the night. Came out and drove the Beartooth Highway to the top of the switchbacks then doubled back to the Morrison Jeep Trail. Camped at the bottom of the switchbacks after going down. That's probably in the top 5 most stressful things I've ever done. Incredible that's a trail. Proceeded to Kirwin for the afternoon and then came home. Pretty crazy 1st anniversary trip.

    You're crazy!

I didn't think it was too bad going up those switchbacks, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to go down.

Yeah i figured I would be the odd duck going down, but I waited until like 5pm when I knew nobody would be coming up to be safe. Passed a lot of people who said it's doable, but to take it slow and I would be fine. Had they said turn around I probably would have.

Thanks man it was excellent! Brandon and I basically rebuilt the entire front end (except the rack)the day before we left to make it happen. Nice to finally drive a truck that tracks straight and doesn't rub the wheel wells.

Is it supposed to be one way or something? Signs at both ends were identical and said nothing about direction of travel.

I'd like to have listened in on the convo when they hired the guy to doze that trail and also there the day he walked off and left his dozer.

How long ago was that?

We talked to a guy with a mini-excavator last year who was contracted by the FS to clean up the trail. He was just starting and let us by, not sure he knew what he was getting into.

Not sure, there was older guy at the bottom fishing we stopped and talked to for probably 30min or so. He said the original guy hired had walked off the job and the ranch there had to finish it.

Maybe someday I will get to wheel with you people.

Actually I ran into a guy from Montana in a 4Runner up at kirwin today. I said "hey" and the first thing he said to me was "are you apart of monte's group?" I guess when I was on Morrison they went sunlight basin instead and ran into this guy as well. lol Crazy

    yes and no.

They are bigger than taco brakes by just a bit. Think they use hard lines too vs the banjo ones. You'll be fine as you have 17s.

Super bummed we didn't run into you! For a bit I thought we would meet you in Goose, but our plans changed liked every day..ha so ended up there on Monday Night. Looks like you had a blast though! Happy Anniversary. If you're still married to Heather after going down that solo..its meant to be :p

Wow that's funny. How was Kirwin? I like it back there.

Im...not entirely sure who that is though..don't remember talking to a guy with a 4runner...talked with a LOT of people this trip. Everyone was amazed at the Tacos on the trails. All seemed to want one after chatting with us.

He was in a newer burgundy runner with 2 dogs. Said he ran into you guys in sunlight basin. He knew your name so I'm assuming you talked to him for a bit.

Kirwin area was cool. The mining stuff was meh, couldn't really see in them except the shaft building. Have heard lots of people talk about good hunting in meteetsee, but never understood why until now. Neat stuff I've always drove past on my way to cody or somewhere else. Defiantly going to be going to back to explore sunrise basin at some point.

hmm. Talked to a group of guys with UTVs..but that was it. Didn't recall anyone with a 4runner..still. Funny! Must be that guy though as they were from Billings.

Yeah the elk hunting down there is killer. Some of the roads off of the main road to kirwin are super cool.

Krandel has amazing hunting too but you can't hunt for shit there without horses.
