What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Made it through the latest heat wave last week parked in the sun all week, no problems. That was my biggest worry, moving the mirror up a few inches would put a lot of torque on it and peel the mounting tab off during the heat.

 

Got the lightbar working. She's done for the year. A lot has happened in 18 months.

Got lazy, to many other project to do today so took the taco to carwash. They did a great job, I can never get the glass clean especially the inside of the windshield. Had to help grandson build their IKEA bedroom sets and set up the living room for temporary dorm. Took a couple of load of their stuff storage until we get their bedroom renovated. Somethime it just nice to have someone else clean the truck and they do an excellent job.

 

What led switchbacks did you go with? I'm thinking of doing this mod too...

Its the wingnut stud I have for my negative terminal. The oem clamp would work with this fine. I swapped the oem one because my winch ground cable wouldn't fit my old battery.

For what it's worth, most complain the secondary fuse power lead is the culprit for not working as a drop in replacement.

 

Yup, the wingnut stud clamp I added 2 weeks ago is the cause. Replacement clamp ordered. OEM would have worked fine.

 

did you go with the 90021 or 90000 struts?

 

Yeah, I'm sure I'll have to do the extension of the cables when I get off my ass & get a 31M.

 

I disassembled the positive lead, and bent off one of the "wings" securing the lead to the terminal so i could rotate the wire 90 degrees to the terminal clamp. It worked to my surprise. Still a little taught for my liking, but not in imminent danger.

 

I'll have to check. I didn't think the lines ran to the master cylinder, but I'll take another look.

Installed a usb charging antler for my ram mount. Yes I wrapped it in carbon fiber. Blocks out some of the blue and matches the rest of my interior
