    My truck sticks out like a sore thumb doesn't it? LOL

    We definitely need to get a Bozeman area meeting going one of these days. I know @MTgirl has said she's tried in the past. Just never works out I guess.

    Working Saturdays usually kills it for me. The life of retail sucks for trying to have any kind of personal/social life.

    Made the drive up the Independence Road to a sweet camping spot 1/2 mile from Blue lake. Lots of traffic. Looks like it was just in time as the weather forecast is now calling for snow. We took an 08 stock Tacoma, 16 Stock Tacoma, a 80's Toyota pickup, and an 80's Synco VW camper van. Lots of fun. :) Only some rock rail scratches (wish I had a little bit of a lift to gain back the side height that those rails fill in, but I keep spending money on mountain bikes and such)

    Hey TW. Just wanted to introduce myself, I've lived in bozeman for a bit over a year now, bought a 16' Tacoma OR at the end of winter. Still pretty stock except for Ovtune, some lighting and a set of Cooper STT pros. Plasti dipped the stock wheels black for now too until i can decide which wheels i want to but.2126.jpg

    No, but a friend just did this weekend. They went camping and fly fishing.

    They took an old Land Cruiser with AT tires and a little lift, sliders, bumper, etc. I'm not sure what the trail is like. Pretty sure he posted a photo somewhere saying he damaged his door on the trail.

    yes, lots of campgrounds and dispersed camping along the "maintained" road and several campsites on the upper portion of the trail once you get above the treeline and past the mining claims.
    Lots of fishing that way too

    Yeah I’ve heard the trail is pretty rough. I was thinking I’d go up as far as I felt comfortable and then hike the rest of the way in. I need to figure out how to get up there though.
