Buy some sliders, I bought my truck in 2015, and still no door dings.

Sorry about that, a stupid badge for the city. You need to go get a proper trail one now! But first, since you are in So Cal, @Shmellmopwho ‘s sliders are your friend. They will help against that sort of abuse.

Yeah, another shameless plug for him, but they are that good.

    Didn't mean to offend...

My tacoma was my first brand new vechile I've ever owned. Always bought used before my taco. So I handled it with kit gloves... then it got a couple dings, scrapes, and I started modding. Now it feels like a real truck to me. Dings add truck character. Just my humble opinion friend.

I'm not offended what so ever, I got my rock chips on my fender trims from gunning it up dirt hills.
I was just saying its a truck regardless because those comments don't really make sense.
Some people just like to take care of their stuff, being that it is a pro it will get more battle scars if used for what it was intended for. If its a mall crawler, thats cool too.

That sucks. I believe the steps (e.g. Predator) keep most car doors from hitting your door, but a truck can still ding anothers door.

Paintless dent repair is awesome! I got a 2-3" crease dent on the lower part of my door from a co-workers Camaro when the wind caught her door and blew into my truck. Her insurance wrote a $650 estimate because they said due to the amount of blending they would have to do with the inferno paint. I certainly didn't want all the painting for a 2-3" crease. For $250, the PDR guy pulled it completely out, not even a scratch was left.

5” nerf bars are my parking lot defense. Sliders will tuck in too close and won’t stick out far enough to defend most door dings.

I got three within the first couple of months, and I'm very careful where I park. Of course, all were very low and on the passenger side. Now with my SOS rock sliders, I feel sorry for someone that swings their cars door into my truck :D

I have about 3 door skuffs on my truck. No biggie, but it still sucks. I dont need sliders but I'm considering them JUST for ding prevention. Any TW approved recommendations?

Everyone will have an opinion (what they bought), but in reality, pick a known brand that is close to you to cut down on shipping.

Edit: I have BAMF bolt-ons and they're top notch.

I fear for those every time I come out of a store. I park as far as I can, on the most empty side of the parking lots.
