I got some balls, you dick. After I explained to them what a TSB was and why I wanted it done before I take delivery, they said they would they didn't do it. I took it to my preferred dealer that did it no questions. I took advantage of the CPO price and haven't dealt with them since. Oh and I mentioned it to corp.

Had 0062-18 done on my 18 sr5 , so far I’m very happy with the results . Much better drivability. I’ve only put around 60 miles on the truck since the update but It’s a big improvement . Highly recommended

Your first dealer is like the only one in Albuquerque (pop 800000) and the one in Santa Fe is just as bad. Otherwise it's 200 miles away. Going to corporate does work with this asshole, but we have to do it every time. This is what you get with monopolies, think Comcast.

    None so far
When it was first done I could notice a difference. Yesterday I had to go on a road trip through the hills in New York and the truck was constantly searching for a gear, 6th to 5th even down to 4th then upshift and downshift. If there was a way to get a decent trade I would get rid of it. Just not happy with it the way it is.

I hate to say it, but mine seems quirky again, too. It still goes when I hit the gas, but it definitely resists shifting, which sucks gas. Then on the highway, I felt some odd shifts and sometimes it almost felt like it slipped into neutral. I can still trust that I can pass people, pull out into traffic, etc, so I hope this is just learning mode.

Well, the numbers are overwhelmingly positive, but the 100% satisfied crowd is losing a little ground. Still 3/4 of the crowd is happy. As long as it doesn’t slip to 50% or less I’d say it’s still a “win” for Toyota.

Took mine in for the 10K service today. Told the service writer about the shifting issues. I was told that Toyota had an update for the problem and it would be installed. Didn't have to suggest or ask for it to be done! The work order shows the TSB 0062-18 installation. The truck is a real joy to drive now!!

Anyone else experience the dealership having no clue what the service bulletin is and refuse to apply it to your truck? I’m in NC

Just called World Toyota in Atlanta to set up an appointment, the service advisor asked me to explain what a TSB was and what the update was for. He agreed to set up and appointment and get it done after some research on his end though.

Had this done on my wife's '17. I have to convince myself that it made a difference; it MIGHT be shifting smoother between lower gears, and it definitely isn't shifting into 5th gear by 30 mph under light throttle. Otherwise, nothing to get excited about.

    Too much.
I'm going to reserve my vote until one full tank of gas (fueling up today on way home).

The process takes not time at all, like 10min. I think the dealers are billing 30 to 40 minutes?

Any one know how to make sure it’s done on a new vehicle. I’m having my new truck delivered Thursday and have been told it’s done. But I would like to confirm.

My dealer says they can’t find the TSB-0062-18...basically told me I made it up. Ran my VIN and says it’s not there for my car, but my 2017 Tacoma definitely is covered under the TSB

In case you don't have any luck I got mine done in Stone Mountain Toyota. The service girl didn't really know what a tsb was but I explained and demanded it anyways and they got it done.
