Holy crap! I did nearly the same. Net effect at least. Daily Macan became daily Tacoma. But best of all, weekend FJ became weekend Cayman. It took me about 9 months to make it all happen, and not necessarily in the correct order. But it happened!

Ok. One, I don’t think he had only explained it a little bit. Two, he has stated multiple times he will not release something that is less than perfect. Three, if you aren’t happy with the communication he already provides to us, move on. In business, “you can’t keep or make everyone happy”. In the end, you are one customer to many of his that are extremely happy. Even though we all want 1.05 out like it was yesterday, I and everyone else will let him take his time. After all, if it weren’t for him, our trucks would not be what they are today. Toyota probably would have never offered this new TSB, etc. Let him do his work! When it is ready, he will let us know. This is not the first product out there that hasn’t made a launch date. When issues come up, they need to be addressed immediately. Also, when one issue comes up, sometimes there are more that surface when you unravel the first and so in. He has 6 or possibly even more. That takes time to accomplish. For now, enjoy 1.04!

The turbo kit is not primarily to make the Tacoma into a race truck, it's to provide additional torque that people feel they want/need

If I'm not mistaken, they're all 2018 ECUs previously used for testing and in short supply

I'm pretty sure he said he had a good supply coming BUT the 2018's are in short supply. Hopefully that means a good amount of 16 n 17's?

If there was a plug and play version for 17' I'd buy.

He's waiting for ECU's to come in and he will program them with 1.05. When you purchase he will input your Vin# and send it to you. Remove current ECU and install new one with program. Then marry it to your truck. Have no idea what that involves but said no tools needed. About as close to plug and play. Won't be able to get upgrades tho.

This was alluded to awhile back. I wonder if there will be a 1.06, or if 1.05 will be the best that can be done. I would hope that new versions will always be worked on, but a system where updates are free can be taxing on a business model for small companies.

Considering we have been expecting 1.05 to be out already, but then Matt recently told us that Toyota changed a lot more than they thought, I have a feeling that there will need to be another update after 1.05. I have no doubt that 1.05 will be a great product, but I'm sure Matt will want to refine it more but he probably will leave some small items as-is rather than make a change without testing it (which takes time). There are going to be some things that he will have to do after 1.05 because he is trying to do so much more (than he originally planned) within that same time frame that he was originally shooting for.

And I'm sure his recent move, the new Flash Manager, and the twin turbo development are all eating into his time.

If 1.05 is out by Friday, I could have 1500 miles of towing data and another 2000 or so miles of not towing data in the next week. Just saying o_O
