@Randy9448 where are you located, that might help as laws are different per state or country.
Give all the info to your insurance, valet name and phone number, pic of license plate and a copy of the police report. Get your truck fixed and let the insurance and the police do their jobs.

I live In OC...I have all these information u name above.i talk to police station.....they ask me if i want to press charge....i told them if i can get it fix or paint i am ok

 

It's not a ton of damage. If you want her to pay.... then do as I described above. Call your insurance agent and forward all of that info to them and file a claim. Most likely you will have to come out of pocket for the deductible and get reimbursed when they track her down.

Had the same thing happen to me when my truck was a few weeks old. Was quoted $418 to get that fixed... Yikes...
Considered going the insurance route and I didn't the police report because someone dinged my truck before I even got plates on it. Decided not worth the hassle for both myself and law enforcement when I can fix it well enough with some touch up paint and eventually it will get replaced with a plate bumper when I get time to build one.

 

Fuck that! She obviously got out, saw she caused damage and decided not to do the right thing. File a police report and make the bitch pay for the damage

What is "local magistrate" ?? is this some kind of a "judge"? in your state/city?
Around here if you were to go to the city Judges office -- they would laugh at you after they told you to report it to the local law enforcement agency!

 

Ya it's basically a judge but a specific position. That term may be specific to states under common law. I used to live in VA and this was the process. Different states may have different requirements.

 

If you have here license plate number I’m assuming that you do since you said the witness gave you a plate number give that along with a witness statement to your insurance and they will find her and her insurance company and definitely file a police report. People hitting other people stuff is bull to just let them get away with it.

Happened on private property it sounds like. That can be a problem. Police will take a report but that's about all they will do in my state

I saw a dude side swipe a car in a parking lot. He got out, looked at the damage, looked at me, got back in his car and took off. I wrote down his license plate and then wrote a note to the driver. Said a car hit his, if he cared to get the plate number call me. He called, I gave it to him. He reported it to PD. PD called me, asked for a description. Dude answered the door for PD wearing the same sweater. He got a hit and run. I got a thank you. Dude got his car fixed. Everybody was happy. (Except the dude that ran)

It’s a bumper cap that costs 150 bucks or so. If they didn’t realize they hit you because it was so minor... sucks but ok, I can understand that. But if they knowingly got out and inspected the damage and decided to take off. Burn them.
