Well so just made it home. Fuel light came on as I was passing the salt river rec area. Fully loaded down with camping gear and rtt and bed rack I averaged about 19 mpg. Which compared to the 15 ish we were getting without weight is a very nice jump. Been working on the truck over the last few weeks and having it all buttoned up now it really paid off. Last thing I got to do is the new brakelines.

Wraps are actually much more durable than you think, it’s deceptively thin but really strong. I’ve seen wraps that kept the contours of crunched bodywork in an accident... Branches won’t do squat, but scraping a rock probably would have the potential to tear it. Then again can-opening your door on a rock is gonna damage anything.

The expense is certainly less than a full respray done properly, so at the very least it’s a good alternative to that.:)

Meh that's great but still not for me. Maybe I will wrap the 4runner. But with the tundra I want what I want and that's what I'm going to do. Can I convince you its easier/cheaper etc to get the light output you want doing a single light at over doing a bunch of squadrons? Probably not cause it's what you want.

Lol yep going to make it happen for the sake of aztw. I will bring our name back and restore our honor.

But seriously it needs to happen. Passenger side has been rubbing the frame allot and has gone thru the outside and the fibers so now it's just the internal line holding pressure. So it's ticking time bomb at the moment.

Lol, I've had fronts sitting for a couple years to do. Did my rears when I put my lift on and thought it was pretty easy. Can't understand why it's been such a thing....

 Don't even get this started again, the kids are gonna get rowdy and start eating crayons again.

I wasn't trying to sell you on a wrap, just dropping some knowledge that wraps are more durable than some think. :D

Lol not starting that over again. But I prefer a painted truck not a wrap. Just my style. Plus it's too easy washing a wrapped truck. How am I suppose to explain spending 6 hours and 20 beers cleaning and detailing that? But if I wash clay bar and wax then detail the interior then go engine bay i can explain the time spent to the wife instead of me just wanting to get hammered and play with my truck all day Saturday .

I agree on the wrap on both points. Ultimately, I could never do a wrap. It wouldn't feel right to me. Not to say they are not strong, or durable, or great in some regards, but I have seen a lot of less than stellar result from wraps. Plus, and here is my own neurosis, wraps just seem disingenuous and deceiving. I don't want to get too into it, but its not a full commitment to a change, but its still not how the truck was "born." Wraps are kind of like a "pre-op trans paint job".
