It's California illegals, convicts, and animals have more rights then a legal tax paying citizen. You did the right thing by punching his lights out and driving off.

 

Creepy story, but as soon as I read the title I knew what it was going to be about. Rest areas are unsafe under any circumstance. For whatever reason they attract creeps. IMO you should have beat the hell out of him. He was invading your space and you said no. He came at you that is asult and battery when he started cursing at you. Beat him down and then call the cops.

 

he likely will since you didnt call the cops on him... there's no paperwork on him or this incident, so as soon as he heals up, he will find some teen who probably won't be able to defend himself, and without your incident on file, law enforcement won't have any priors to cross reference...

 

File a police report! Chances are that queer is going to do the same towards another unsuspecting child/teenager. At the least, they (the police) could possibly match your description of the man/vehicle/clothing/etc. to other possible past and future cases. It's your duty as a good citizen to get up, stand for your rights, and help prevent any future issues with that bastard.

Some rest stops are well-known for this kind of stuff and people actually meet at them for this kind of stuff, by pulling into them you are automatically assumed as looking for the same things as them. This is why I dont stop at ones I dont know and I use the gas-stations to rest.
