    Thanks for the input. I know we have an about 3/8" thick rubber/plastic membrane that gets applied to the doors, firewall, and roof to isolate the noise and hearing loss from engine noise and the siren pitches. Have no idea what it is called, just know it comes in sheets on a roll, and smells like hell, and is sticky asf. But nothing vibrates or carries sound through once its applied.

    I am not involved in buying it, so no clue. I just know they bring it to the station in the bed of a pickup with no packaging. It's usually hot, and already sticky. And makes a huge mess.
