It’s a trap if it’s the reality show about those twins and their personal lives. My wife likes it. Might just get her WWE tickets for her bday and see how much she likes it then.

    Me either.

Then again if I hired a plumber and if he tried to use a compression fitting I'd fire him on the spot.

Anyone interested in a weber smokey mountain 18"? One small dent on the side and 2 little spots on the lid where the enamel flaked off. I have a cover too.

Moving soon and want to consolidate my 3 smokers lol. 80 bucks to TW folks.

The Teflon tape and dope does not and is not a sealant. They are just a lubricant for the threads so you can tighten it up right enough to make the seal.

Then would you care to explain why (almost) every manufacturer of Teflon tape (in its standard 1/4" or 1/2" wide sizes) and pipe dope states it is for thread sealing (and also a lubricant). Also why the Mil standard that any decent Teflon tape is manufactured to is also stated for use as a sealant (and also lubricant)?

Neolube (graphite/alcohol solution that dries to leave just the graphite) is my go to lube for joints (or fasteners) needing just lubrication. Expensive but goes a long ways. Take more time than other "wet" lubricants though as you have to give it a couple minutes to dry out

for propane gas there is a special kind of Teflon tape. look for PTFE Yellow gas tape or something like that. I know i sell 3 different kinds of tape for different applications all still used on pipe thread/NPT.

White, yellow, and pink? Yellow for gases. White for whatever. And pink is just a thicker white pretty much? Or something about size of pipe determines white vs pink? Something like that...I don't use much of the tape outside of air fittings for tools.

I haven't looked into it but I've been told that the county I live in (Whatcom) does not allow yellow PTFE tape for gas installations. All I've ever seen in the box stores and local hardware stores is the white stuff. I prefer Rector Seal or liquid PTFE myself, though the tape is handy sometimes.
