I'm a couple weeks into driving my Tacoma, I was wondering if the noise i hear when i brake is normal? it sounds along the lines of gas being pushed out of something when i slowly push the brakes down, i dont hear it if i brake relatively fast

Mine is intermittent, but hasn't stopped. Haven't tried to figure out if there is any one variable that causes it to be heard. Eventually, I just found myself not paying attention.
