@m603holden While you're at it. If, and I mean a big "if", I decide to get a mobile unit. Which one would you go with. I would want one that will do all I need and not have to be upgraded.

Ask me this again in about a month after you've been using your hand held for awhile and we can revisit this. Haha

I really liked their sliders, but a $1000 is a bit much for my tastes right now.

I don't blame you . sSo is local for you right? They're back southern company? I like their lownprofile bumpers.

Btw for the mobile it's tricky. Because it's how clear you want to hear things, ease of use, durability, and setting yourself up so you just have to buy once.

Mines pricey, more than most people need to spend. But I wanted the second channel and it's crystal clear. So it'd be best to use your handheld for s bit to see how deep you want to get into it.

Nothin a couple hours of OT won’t fix.

I have to get some new air tools since mine were destroyed by mice in the lower level of the barn.

Keep an eye on estate sales. That's where I got all my air tools for a steal. Because no one gives up tools like that willingly

They were my first air tools cheap crap from sears and harbor freight. I’m not sure how many I will replace since battery and brushless electric have come such a long way in the past 10-15 years.

I'm kinda undecided now with which mobile I might like. Love the Kenwood D710 but the Yaesu FTM-400XDR looks nice also. Both are dual band and both do APRS. Might have to get a hands on look at them in a few weeks.

@gixxerphil but is it? A set amount up front and a well structured prenup?....
