Drywall and paneling are already out of the house. Studs look solid, all dry, relatively clean, and vacuumed with a HEPA shop vac. Tomorrow will bring the cleaning and/or KILZ. This is just a temp solution until sometime next year for a basement gut. Hopefully it was confined to that one area, as other parts of the basement have been in use for a few years now, with no apparent allergy or other effects. There hasn't been any flooding or leaks since we've been here, so that must be old. I've had a dehumidifier down there for a while, and one of my first projects was concreting over a dirt floor  crawl space at the opposite end of the basement.

I swear, one of these days I'm just going to sell this place and move into a high rise condo.

More rain. Flooding. Garage is full of water. At least the tornado warning is over with. Fall hits tomorrow in reality and she sure is coming in with a vengeance. At least can hopefully turn off the AC for the next 10 months now. Not that heat is a bargain here.

Well at least you have Academy Sports. HEB. And cheapest brisket and beef known to human kind.

Great now I can't get the Menards jingle out of my head...

That is the upper half of a Gate valve out of a steam plant. So what did you do to the rest of it LOL!

A friend that I work with and is also retired Navy showed me those last week at work. They just finished building their house 2 years ago and prices are skyrocketing around here. He is considering selling it, buying some land on a lake or the river and putting up a Morton building.

Told him he better hurry up he is 2 years older than me, 62. His youngest daughter just started college and he said the hell with it he is going to end up working until he is at least 70 anyways. But at least a well insulated Morton will give him decent workshop, boat and RV storage and fairly low maintenance. With one story living, he already has had his knees replaced mine will be soon. And cost is well under a conventional stick home around here now. He has me thinking...

    Good morning friends!

@Bluegrass Taco, I hope you feel better soon. Heat exhaustion/stroke isn't anything to mess with. Ask the nurse to add a bit of gin and a slice of lime to the next IV bag... :D

@Cypherian, that's one very handy press. Just have to remember to keep one's head down while swinging the wheel around...
