I don't know why anyone wouldn't file a chargeback at this point, life's not fair.

im surprised things happened the way they did, i was pretty proactive in telling my buddy to get into contact with them frequently since they were late with his hc swingout bumper. It arrived a week before all this blew up so he dodged the bullet

its too bad they let expenses go out of hand

I disagree. We have no idea what is really going on with that company. It is best to get your money out before bankruptcy. After bankruptcy it’s gone.

Once the right people leave it's typically hard to get them back. I imagine the labor market is really tight in So Cal

All of the jumping ship coukd probably be subdued if there was even a " hey guys we'll let uou know whats happening on _ _ day."
Followed by sporadic we're here still snipits, instead one cryptic msg Fri. And its been Wednesday for over an hour here, the holiday weekends over. C'mon guys something to save face at this point.

    So,
I read this whole post and some of the comments I read disgust me.
What happen to the word "Family"
I do not know about yall
Tyler, Satin, Michael, and many more of the employees of this company
Has not only taken care of me but my wife and son also WITHOUT EVEN ASKING THEM TO
Like I get it...you have sent money trying to get a product
    but failed to receive it
but yall are making money blind you...
Think back when your Mom, Dad, Sister...whoever
    Wronged you....
Yea you got mad at the moment it happen but you have to remember how much they have taken care of you
So the next day or so everything is fine
I am heartbroken about all of this happening because I have been a strong supporter of them for years.
After I saw Michael was let go, I knew this shit just got real...
File your dispute or not, do what you want
In my opinion, they are going to get through this
Their product is way too good to just end like this, so there will be an investor out there.
    and IFFF...IF they go bankrupt
YALL KNOWING how well they treated the customers in the past... I am almost positive that they will somehow repay the customers that have money down waiting for the product.

I love @Pelfreybilt and hope for the best
but damn so many people have no damn faith in someone that treated them so well in the past.
Hope to see everyone at Overland Expo East

Since they have chosen to not release any info, and NDA'd Michael, we have no way of knowing how bad things are.
If they end up, g*d forbid, losing everything, how can they repay customers when they have nothing.
Bad things happen to good people.

Just like how he did when he first started the company
In his garage building the product finishing up the last sales...
Or take out a loan to pay off the rest of the sales to the customers

I don’t care how nice somebody is...if somebody takes three grand from me for product and then falls off the face of the earth looking for “investors” without delivering product...or even any updates they promised...they are no longer trustworthy people. I'm sure Bernie Madoff was a super nice guy at dinner too, didn't stop people from getting screwed out of their money.

Bankruptcy means the secured creditors legally get paid first...unsecured creditors like people with deposits down on future product are SOL if there isn't any cash left when the merry go round stops.

Because banks are totally going to make a loan to a failing business that is having cash flow issues and now credit card disputes.... I’ve got some ocean front property in AZ that I’d love to sell you too.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
you have made it clear that you have a personal relationship with them.
For people who don't, well, to be honest they don't give a shit how well you know them, if they don't know you.

and just because they are "family" to you doesn't mean shit to everyone who has money tied up with them. Since they are your family are your willing to cover their debts if they cannot pay?

I gave them $5,000 last week for an entire set of goodies and have not heard back from anyone since....trying not to stress, yet. But, seriously, I would like some news about this @Pelfreybilt

I will have their backs all the way through this
I am still waiting on their products as well so I am in the same boat as many of you.
I get where you are coming from that other people do not have the same level of relationship.

Did you pay with a credit card or paypal? Dispute it and get your money back as soon as you can. A lot of people are in the same boat as you.

All I know is they were the closest (cheaper shipping) vendor and they had a sale, and they run a very overlandy IG account with cool pics and junk. I've done this before and gotten burned. The "forum mentality" takes over...a few people have a good experience with vendor, tell others, and enough people hear it that they take it as gospel and say how good said vendor is without actually having any interaction with them. I'm out peanuts compared to others but still...I won't be paying full price for something that gives anything more than like a week's lead time, especially if it's something that should be a stocked item, like their very popular skidplates. I'm waiting it out right now, but don't have much hope for it working out, especially without any real story of whats going on from their current order backlog.

I basically paid cash to help them avoid the 3% credit card fee. Starting to question that decision. Overall though, I will give them some time to respond before I start disputing and getting worked up. It's only been a few days and a couple of Facebook posts. If I can't reach anyone by next week, I might start taking steps to secure my money back and looking at other suppliers for those parts....

there are companies that will hold your credit information, but agree to only take half up front, then the rest from your CC once its been shipped.

i love this. It fits my thinking that we are kind of like a D&D character. We all have some many points to use, some get more in the creative parts and less on the social, while others may have more in the social and less in the creative. Or some have more in the math area and less in the language areas, and so on.

Would be if it fit  haha. I'm sure it can be trouble shot, but hopefully everyone here can get their answers soon so I can get mine after.
