why wouldnt you be able to? We are only allowed to use fixed broadheads. My wife has killed numerous deer with fixed broadheads. this year we switched to the G5's also. See what happens.

We also sighted my wifes crossbows in yesterday and one was consistenly off. Come to find out the scope mount had come loose and once I tightened it up we could get it sighted in again! Now shooting like its supposed to!

That’s a damn nice buck man! Where the hell do you hunt in the enchanted forest? Lol! Where I hunt it’s as thick as the Amazon in most areas. I need a machete just to get to my stand. Lol!!!

LOL, there are areas around here that are just like that also but the ones you see in the photos are continually cleared and controlled over the last 20 years. My stand is about 20 feet behind the camera and 30 feet up and I look right down that little trail. It is oh so sweet!

Very good buck in OH. I’m happy for ya man. Hopefully you can blast a good one. We don’t start until 10/6 but no big bucks just yet. We I am located though, they can show up for sure. Especially if they are pressured across the river.

Are there any tricks to ensuring your feather / vanes are even in your Blitzenburger? I find black is kinda a PITA to get lined up perfectly and every so ofter I will put it to far forward or back a few millimeters. It's driving me nuts.

I figure out where I want the vanes or feathers to be and mark the clamp. Works out well for me. I do it for the Bitz and for the Jojan fletching jigs.

Maybe today. Planning on Retuning my arrows and reworking my gaps. They should be pretty close, bareshafts were close last night.

These are the latest limbs for Borders. If you're into super recurves they are pretty nice. These are the production model which are replacing the prototypes Borders sent me a few months back. So far from shooting it yesterday they've changed it slightly. The prototype limbs had a much more pronounced "let-off" feeling at the back end where the gain in poundage dropped significantly. These are smooth all the way to the back end (bout 28" draw for me).

45# limbs, shooting a 564gr arrow (over 12 grains per pound) with some force. From what I can see from my limited time after work yesterday my point on distance is still about 43 yards or so. Heavy hunting arrow.

Some reactions from a few of the archers at my range/club on the prototype Hex 8 limbs:

My Club is pretty tradcentric and we have a lot of strong traditional shooters (longbow, recurve). I've shot trad much longer than compound and enjoy it quite a bit more. Still need that compound for some of the hunts out here when you need to reach out and touch something at a good distance in terrain with no cover.

That bow is like nothing I've never seen before. Looks sweet! So there's let off on that style of bow?

I better stop watching that video, I'm gonna want to get one. I will get a recurve in the future, but not until I am were I wanna be with my compound. It's been a very long time since I have shot any traditional bow.
