When you replace the bulb next time, purchase some of that light bulb grease they sell over the counter. It's like $2 and will exted the life of your bulbs. I think they go out because of the heat and/or corrosion built up in the socket. The grease will help prevent both.

I don't think it's your bulb connection as much as it is as those bulbs aren't supposed to last more than 6 months, as they are retardedly made. Look at the back of the package, it even says it on there about how because they are brighter, they have a short lifespan.

Get regular bulbs, or an HID setup and stop wasting your money on those garbage bulbs is my suggestion.

I'd say just go HID. you want blue-ish white lights....and longer lasting bulbs....so go to DDM's website and get some HIDs. they're not that expensive, way brighter, and will last a lot longer then regular bulbs (with a warranty too)

any type of grease or finger prints on the bulbs glass will do that try wiping the bulbs down with an alcohol swab and clean rag next time

If they are the silverstars then don't buy them again. I replaced four of them within 2 years. I will never run them again in my truck or any other car I own.
*Also, keep your receipts for the Silverstars, they have a 1 year warranty and vatozone or o'reilly's should replace them.
But seriously, just switch over to something cheaper or a different brand and you won't have anymore problems.

are they higher wattage bulbs? if they are and thats why they are brighter, then thats the problem. had issues back in the day with my wrx. unless its a stock rating of 55/65W, then they will run bright, and die fast

x2. I don't know why the sealed beams may be different, but I've had a pair of Silverstars in my work van since last September & they're still fine.
