    The only thing I can think of is exhaust and intake. To make big power you either custom swap to another engine or force induction. If you're looking for someone whose tried an 'electric' supercharger NOPE!!

    Ricer air intakes are a waste of $150. Thats my opinion, based on facts. These are truck motors, outside of what @Blackdawg mentioned, there is no way to increase HP to a noticeable level.

    I’ve got a Volant CAI with an AFE dry filter on it. If there were any HP gains they were so minimal I didn’t notice. But it looks cool and I’m saving money on filters so I’m happy.

    The stock ecu is a bitch anyways. Conservative, but very reliable.

    Its not worth getting an intake and exhaust for "power gains" as the reason. You won't notice. Not really. It'll sound like you think you notice..but its just noise.

    Boost is about it.

    I used the Permatex kit, cheap on Amazon $9 shipped. Like double the price in auto parts stores. There are other kits that are basically the same, Blue Star is a tad bit cheaper.

    It's considered one time use but you can reuse it if you make your own doublesided tape mounting pad & have extra resin leftover.

    Kits like the RainX are reuseable that come with a suction cup mount & more resin. I used the syringe type kit cause it also pulls a vacuum, the suction cup kits don't.

    I am going to get me a suction cup style kit to use on some the pits that I have. Don't think it matters pulling a vacuum for those.

    Question on battery wiring (dual battery / and accessory wiring).

    I see some people run fuse blocks for accessories and other people use fuse/relay blocks. I'm looking to run lights, an invertor, air compressor off what ever I use... do I even need relays? All the accesories I plan on using with be switched (on/off)

    Ok... so the major extent of my experience with vehicle wiring was when I was younger and making my vehicles have the loudest and most obnoxious stereos in the County (I was very successful at this by the way). I used fuses but never relays. What is the benefit / reason to use a relay?

    Change your gauge to KPH, then you'll see the horsepower gains.

    I think the biggest thing is you get less voltage drop when using relays and a more stable amp. You should still be using fuses in conjunction with the relays.

    Yeah most terminal 30 pins on relays ask for fused power.

    My 02 came without abs and just the cable TB. But when I got the 03 v6 it had the wire with the TB so I had to rewire the hole truck to get everything working again.

    I believe nasa has done research and claims lock washers to be near worthless. Nord lock washers are the best.

    Thought the same.

    I've put some serious cuts in my Maxx sidewalls and they still held air. I did manage to put a tiny pinhole in one. It needed air every few days. I think speed is what will kill any tire though.



    I'm not sure I see the point of the 125A fuse unless it's connected directly to the battery terminal. I see people install them next to there fuse box with about 8" of wire running from battery to the fuse. So if that 8" wire grounds out you have a dead short directly to the battery and probably a fire shortly after.

    Or is it simply just so you don't put to much draw on the box? I'm guessing this is it now that I've thought about it. I don't have enough accessories to pull that many amps so I guess I'm good

    Switches can't handle high amperage. I think most are rated for around 15A.

    I think a more acurate statement is >WE< should do one of these. If I tried to do that on my own, I'd do it wrong and lite my truck on fire.

    Yes, this would be fine. I'm sorry, I misunderstood you. I thought you said you were going to remove all the fuses save for the 125- at which point my concern was 125A being sent through, say, a piece of 10 gauge going to a lamp or something after it abraded. In that case,. having no fuse on that small a wire, it would short, heat, and combust.

    The idea to go with a CB for the main lead and run branch circuits with fuse protection is fine- it's what I do.
