Can't you just turn that laser beam machine up to 11?

Funny. We were talking about needing a fiber laser. With that we can cut steel. Flo-Jet would be awesome though. I’m pretty sure we would both be killed if we spent that much money. :infantry:

1500 was my guess at DIY. If @Bigdaddy4760 can source for 1k and diy... I'm in for that! Plus about $1k in booze and meat budget...

Same. I'm thinking we wait for the announcement and see the price. I'll reach out to the guy and see if I can buy the plans/cut sheet, then put that towards the kit if I decide to do that instead (as opposed to buying both). If I can get the sheet, then @Bigdaddy4760 can get a rough estimate on cost going that route.

Compare, then take the irreversible plunge!

sounds about right! gotta let the metal cool for warping concerns right?!

Exactly. We'll know all numbers before deciding. Hoping with the kit they are getting group discounts and it will be within a small percentage of full DIY...

This is the side of my Pit Boss... so you can see the window to show the level of pellets This thing holds 60 pounds of pellets.

It has a small door at the bottom to drain out the unused pellets to change flavors.

It's a nice design without anything sticking out on the sides and no worries about running out of pellets during a run.

I did have some challenges when I first got it, but after they sent me a new internal temp probe the thing has been running like a champ.

Definitely something to ponder if you're going to build your own.

I'll keep using this one and spend the money saved from not building one to buy more things to put in it! Haha

Super impressed with the hopper capacity on that one!

And yes, there is always a cheaper alternative that's close but not quite the same... Just like truck mods. Bilstein vs King vs ADS...

It can be an expensive hobby just like everything else

You got time, just need to start studying dimensions, don’t want any drops from the steel. Might mean we build four whatever is cost effective. By the way got 24” or 30” pipe on hand now for your trailer build.
    :D  :D

I think you’re safe. He said he’s going into town so that will probably take him a few days.

I might have someone willing to spend the cost of material plus a little bit (I know he wouldn't spend the $5k+ it's ultimately going to be worth) if that helps with the 4th one.

I'm on board with raffling/selling the 3rd to help pay for the others, for sure.
