    Totally get what you're saying. I definately was going to do a fuse box (specifically to clean up the wiring, because I don't want wires looking like a rat made a home under my hood). But then the question of relays came up and I was wondering what added benefits the relays would add.

    You and @foxrcing (side conversation) have done a great job explaining that.

    Sweet! I had read somewhere that you shouldn’t go over a 10.5 wide tire on our stock rims but couldn’t find that today lol. I wanna move up to a 16 rim so I can run tundra brakes but those brakes ain’t happening for a long time down the road.

    I think another user was asking compressor/converter specific questions buut since you ask....
    I have a Smitty Built alligator clamp compressor. It works well but it is a pain to lug around and it has annoying proprietary connections. I want an on board dual ARB some day.
    I have not looked into getting a converter yet.
    I am actively looking for a winch and I am assuming that will need a relay.

    @Blackdawg another question. I'm putting my aux battery where you did. How did you secure your battery box? Welded? Bolted? Bailing wire? Duct tape? (ok, the last 2 options were a joke).

    Just curious.

    I'll be on the lookout, That's one sexy camper shell. I want to build an overlanding rig with a high-topper w/ sleeping platform and a custom roof rack over the exterior. This looks perfect for it.

    Ah yes, threadlocker.. I use it on only a handful of applications I've come across on the truck, lbj bolts being one.

    There's a good video out there on vibration test that I was looking for but found this article first.

    Yes that Winch Will need a Relay and why the dual ARB compressor? planning on Airing up really Big tires? I put an on board single ARB and it performs very good without taking up a ton of space and certainly with out that high price tag either way the compressors New that is come with a relay also.

    The winch should come with everything needed to wire it up. Usually just involves hooking the leads up directly to the battery. Though this poses the problem of the long leads shorting out or I had my wireless remote circuit short and turned the winch on so it was constantly running. Fortunately the winch wasn't engaged so it was free spooling and not drawing a huge load on the battery.

    Drove to Gorman this morning to get the truck dirty. Right after I finished airing down 3 tires I noticed gear oil leaking. Damn axle seal. Was perfectly fine when I got back from Pismo last week. Wasn't leaking when I took the truck in for alignment 2 days ago. Drove straight back to the rear end shop & dropped it off. Hopefully they finish tomorrow cause I'm flying out to Frisco Fri morning.

    Today I tightened all my door striker plates. My friends don't understand that my truck isn't a Ford Excursion and the doors don't need to be slammed. I investigated all my door hardware after shutting my parts truck door and being confused on why it felt so much better than shutting my trucks doors.

    I used a generic group 34/78 optima cage and welded on stand off to the body then bolted it down using the stand off with welded bolts to them and then one stock open hole and drilled one additional one.

    Who has a dd? I love my taco but am debating if having a gas saver to drive around while I wrench on it is worth it...

    I do.

    I bought a double cab for a dd....then started wheeling it.

    So i bought a single cab v6. Gets like 20+mpg. still 4wd. Fun to drive. Uses all the same damn parts. Win for me.

    The DD life is the best for a true rig.

    I DD my truck. I have an E320 and a Civic, but I don't drive them very much. The E320 I use when the truck is down or need to fit five people, and the Civic just sits in my driveway. The Merc leaks more oil than the Exxon-Valdez, and my Civic has a dead Hybrid battery pack.

    Driving this truck is just more fun.

    I read that wrong. Lol. Thought you were aski g who DD's the truck...lol....i love driving it daily, but damn gas and tires are catching up. A commuter would be nice
