Great! It's a beautiful early evening. It's raining enough to keep the temperatures depressed. Aside from a beer I couldn't ask for much more.

I'd say 10-11 if a direct flight from Houston to Heathrow is ~8-9 hours IIRC.

Right after I joined you cronies I took a trip to Alaska. I flew into Fairbanks and then went on a 1200 mile road trip, some pics are below. The pics do not do this state justice, but they are nice...

Now it's time to gear up for white tail/mule deer season in our great state of Texas. I would like to squeeze in some gatherings with you crazy folks somewhere in there.

Looks freakin amazing!! I'm going next summer. Where did you see the northern lights?? With all the reading i've done it seems hard af to find 'em during the summer

 

Yean man, after reading some of this thread I think you were up there as well. I recommend that anyone who likes this type of stuff to figure out a way to get up there and do some exploring. Not so much in the winter, but it was nice to get away from the heat here and see some awesome sights. A couple of bucket list checkmarks completed on this trip, working on others for next year.

 

Had some free time this evening installed the tail gate skin from Mobtown an touched up sliders.

 

I was lucky and only had one night where they where visible. I think you have to go real late in the summer and hope that they come out. Even if they do, you need a pretty good camera to capture them on film. I got that pic on an iPhone, but that was after many bad shots. The pic was taken right outside of the cabin I was staying in at in Moose Creek near Fairbanks.
