So @OVTune, I expect that if we get the base kit, we can upgrade to a higher level later on when/if we want to?

Using less fuel to do the same work doesn't mean you use less fuel? Confusing...

What you are failing to realize is that the engines use the exact same fuel. The turbo engine generates more power but it’s power you don’t use. Typically more air means more fuel, more fuel is less mpg.

The same 3.5 liter is used in the Ford GT. More power, lighter car yet gets 14 mpg combined. By your logic it should have significantly better mpg.

I don’t think these exact ones, but Aisin transmissions are usually used on HD RAM’s

We're talking about at least a 100whp increase. It doesn't matter if you use a turbo, supercharger, imagination, or Fred Flinstone's feet - power does not come free. If you introduce more air via turbo, you need more fuel to compensate.

Keep in mind that while turbocharging CAN be done to increase efficiency, it's not done in the same way as when turbocharging to add power. In our case, taking a 3.5 V6 and throwing 2 turbos on it is going to increase output, at the expense of requiring more fuel to make it. If you wanted to be more economical, take the 3.5 out, and put a smaller motor in with a small turbo on top of it. That way you end up with a smaller displacement engine for efficiency, and then more flow via the turbo when power is needed. This is how my turbo S2000 made 450+whp and still got 30mpg - but only when i kept the thing from spooling!

Step on the throttle, and you have to pay. There's just no such thing as free energy.

Why go through all this trouble to swap to a factory Tcase just for a manual shifter? Just get an AtlasII and have 2 manual shifters and a plethera of gear/range options. Same amount of work and prolly for nearly the same price

Do not confuse what the right pedal does. In cable-driven cars, the throttle opened the throttle body which forces more AIR into the motor. The ECU in a fuel injected vehicle will read that amount of air via MAP or MAF sensor and then tell the injectors to add fuel to compensate. Yes, you can 'lean out' that mixture with aftermarket tuning to produce more power to an extent, but that does not exactly equate to around town fuel mileage because those are two different driving scenarios that call for two different fuel curves.

Now consider our modern day drive-by-wire cars. The right pedal does not necessarily have to correlate directly to the throttle body at all. As has been said before, the car knows when you push the pedal, you're asking for more power. How the ECU handles that request can be interpreted as something you do not like - thus, the OVTune was born.
