That's how we've been getting it all year so far....No rain, then monsoons....Weather guessers saying "1" to 4" this weekend" .

And we'll be in the woods, wheeling...Should be an adventure...

:oldglory:Morning all. High of 93 and humid today. Storms coming this evening, gonna try and mow after work. Should have yesterday but grilled instead. Was tired of mexican food @ the resort. Grilled good ole American T bones with deer dogs! Great to be home!

    Any insomnia experts?

The last few months I've had increasing difficulty getting to sleep and lately that's been 0-2 hours per night occasionally. Like last night. I don't get it; I busted ass all day, starting with a particularly heavy leg day at the gym, and construction at the house more or less til 11pm or so. I should've slept like a log. Instead, I tossed & turned til 7. WTF?

No booze, one cup of coffee in the AM, no other caffeine, and I haven't done shift work in 30 years. Is this just SOP after 50?

Ive done shift work for 35yrs and have fought it forever, heck now we shift change every 2 weeks!!.after i recorded my sleep for couple weeks doc finally gave me something to help get to sleep when i go through those insomnia periods.stress has alot to do with it too like when your brain wont quit working enough to let you get to sleep!Good Luck..Benadryl helps 2-25mg tablets hour before you want to sleep.its the same active ingredient in over the counter sleep aids.

If I could only get it to start working during the day!

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Any side effects? I do take NyQuil at the slightest hint of a cold or flu, and that gets me to some solid sleep, but I always wake up extra dopey.

Some times may wake up drousey but you can Google it for side effects..active ingredient is Diphenhydramine..i too dont pop stuff for colds, aches etc..but i had to sleep!would go 5 or 6 days with at most 2 or 3 continious hours of sleep a day and then crash on my day off being exhausted.

The highlight of the day will be in a couple hrs when my Brother and I go out to breakfast . He wants to go for a ride in the Camaro and last time he rode in it was 5 yrs ago

Should be interesting to see how he fits into the pass seat after climbing over the roll cage door bar

Let the rains begin! I drove out to the far side of our golf course to check the fence around the place. I'm 850 yards past the last cart path, sitting here in my truck, watching it rain, listening to rain hitting the cab roof..... No one knows where I'm at.

PERFECT place to take a nap!:D
