Mac Jones on third string looked better than Jalen did on A day. Jalens passing is dead on or way the fuck off. I wonder if he has an eye problem?

Speaking of Hurts, did anyone else can the heated debate about him between Tebow and Spears on SEC Nation Saturday? I know I might piss off some Bammers by saying this but Tebow said Hurts was one of the top qbs in college football right now. Sorry but that’s laughable imho. Tebow was getting riled up because Spears disagreed.

I mean you can't argue that 26-2 is a great (maybe the greatest) starting qb first 2 seasons, also hurts' turnovers are few and far between. His numbers look great and he is an indisputable athlete for sure, but I wouldn't say he is one of the best qbs in the game right now

I also realize without Tia, hurts would be 25-3 but still that's pretty amazing; also I understand he isn't 100% responsible for those wins and there is a lot that goes into winning but he was a pretty big part and much needed some weekends

His record doesn’t really mean anything to me in this context. he’s not a great passer. I just think Tebow sees himself in Hurts and got defensive.

    You answered this perfectly below

Tebow sees another version of himself...a great athlete that no question has the talent to play on Sundays, that talent just isn't under center.

I didn't catch it. I suppose it depends on how wide you cast your net when talking about "one of the best." I don't think he's in the top 5, but I think he could compete if not start for the majority of programs in the country. We're talking about college kids, though, so that doesn't mean he's GREAT.

I think you said it down here, tho...

I don't know if Hurts has the talent to play on Sundays, but I think he has a better shot if he moves to another position. Will he do it, or will he stick to trying to perform as a QB?

I think this will depend on what influences he allows to affect him. If the influence is his dad, he will remain a QB regardless of where it takes him and that will be that. If he allows a more knowledgeable source aka a college coach or higher level talent scout, whether either of those are Saban or someone else, I think he has potential to play on Sundays. It all depends on what he wants to do and who he allows to help him make that decision.

Jalen Hurts would absolutely start at any other school in the country.
