I got the rear marked, maybe I should mark both the front and rear to ensure it's at exactly the right spot.

Not actual letoff like a compound but the gain in poundage in the back end drops to almost nil so in your mind it feels like a letoff. Regular bows will stack and feel heavier at the end of the draw. Very cool feeling.

I really want to to some traditional bow hunting too. What is the minimum draw weight realistically to take a deer?

I’d have no qualms about deer hunting with my 45# bow. Obv check state regulations see if there is a legal bow weight minimum guideline. A lot of guys like 50#.

check your state laws but usually 40lbs minimum and 7/8" cutting broadhead minimum. But again check your states rules.
Any info on how he died?

That's terrible news. I just discovered this brand recently and got a few things from them.

Does anyone know Jason Hairston's cause of death? Sounds like suicide.

Too many conflicting reports. Hearing suicide (possibly related to CTE from his football/NFL days), caribou hunt with Dad and son + negligent discharge, etc. I’ll wait until they make an announcement. I hope it wasn’t suicide.

Guy changed the technical hunting apparel world with Sitka and KUIU. Brought all the performance materials from the mountaineering/backpacking/hiking world over to hunters. Moved away from realtree/mossy Oak which dominated the market to Mountain mimicry/optifade/verde/vias.

Looks like it doesn’t get release until the 8th. I’d like to try it though.

Apparently not. It doesn’t include VA. Doesn’t surprise me. Our state never gets cool shit. Lol.
