3rd gen SR 4 cylinder 5-speed AC adventure rig build

Met up with this giant rig and his owner purchased my Wilco swingout.

So far definitely feel a power difference throughout the RPM range with the LCE header. Took about 2.5 hours to install the header and 3.5 hours to install the snorkel. The snorkel took a bit longer d/t multiple measurements before cutting the fender and their were a few modifications I needed to do to make it fit. I still gotta go back and silicone some stuff to make sure it’s water tight. All in all, I’m happy with the upgrades.

 

Easily the best SR build around. I have been following on instagram for a while and I love the truck. Keep it up

It’s definitely been fun to have and the header makes a noticeable difference. I plan on going to Oregon next weekend to explore the coast or eastern part of the state. I’ll update you folks more on the header and some pics of my adventure.

 

Went on a day trip to the Washington coast to get my surf fix. Of course, the obligatory drive on the sand. Found some dead seals and found some peeps stuck on the sand. Offered them help but they surprisingly said no? Cool with me.

 

Last weekend I drove out to south east Oregon to Alvord Desert. I met up with some cool 3rd gens and camped out.





Then I headed back north west to Christmas valley to find the plane crashes. It was a bastard to find!



Then I drove to forth Stevens and hugged the coast line to the Olympic peninsula.


Had to look good at the malls after returning back from the desert so did a foam wash at brown bear.

Awesome truck! Any thoughts on running a smaller tire to get some of that power back?

 

Unfortunately, d/t the 488 gears, a smaller tire will increase my RPMs on the highway.

 

We’ll hit me up if you wanna chill maybe get a beer talk some stories...

 

I dig the truck dude, I’m hoping to get mine pretty similar to yours soon.
