I'm more upset about having to explain the extreme price drop to my girlfriend...

Speaking of lights, just picked these up an hour ago.

Spent weeks talking about how I can re-invent the game and do something totally different. Was thinking 3 s2’s with a squdrons in the middle. Then I was thinking about mounting 24 squdrons from pillar to pillar. In the end I just decided to do what works and is cost effective... I’ll re-invent the game when it needs to be done.

    Hopefully shes a reasonable woman...

To get $300 back for stock wheels was fine with me even if I paid 800 for my new wheels. Some money back is better than no money back AND taking up valuable space in the garage.

I got pretty lucky on Offerup. To avoid the craigslist spam I listed my stock rims and tires with 100 miles on them both on FB and Offerup first. Just to get them gone quickly I agreed to sell them for $725 to a military dad on FB. Loaded them up drove all the way from N Scottsdale to 83rd Ave and Bell only to find out the dumb fuck was trying to put them on a 5 lug Tundra. After loading back up and mumbling a few swear words I drove back home unloaded them from my truck to the back patio of our condo a good 60 yard carry. I changed my Offerup price to $765 and thankfully 5 minutes later some dude with a 2015 OR was going to get new tires the next day saw it and offered me $700 cash. At this point I wanted them gone I was annoyed at my previous experience and had already shelled out $840 to get my Toyos so just cut my losses and took the $700 figuring a net $140 for a brand new set of tires was not a bad deal.

Garage door spring died, to make matters worse it’s a Wayne dalton torque tube so a conversion is needed.

I could spend $1k so much easier!

I’m roughly bracketing an S8 for the specs but getting better throw because collimating from a larger reflector on the XL, which doesn’t show in a strictly lumen comparison. I’m like exactly spot on the money compared to a 20” S8 for $$$ spent and number of drivers, but I also get the choice of amber and white.

So I bought entry level BD lights, I went there instead of cheaper China brand Ebay lights because BD offers a load of cool features and service options. Replaceable lenses is worth the tag any day. It’s suitable light for my purposes, maybe I will upgrade to pros someday when I’m making more money, or I feel like I’m not producing enough light for my needs.

    :)

I hate offer up for this reason, not only that every time I have listed rims and tires for say $400 people agree to pay that then want to meet up and as soon as I get there they ask if I will take $200

alright, fair enough  Its still a very high quality setup but sometimes it pays to heed the advice of others that have already been down this road. I'm all for originality, but for your money, you could have very easily gotten more overall light and a more effective pattern in a smaller package leaving room for additional budget lighting in the future.

This 100%. Guy offered me $275 on a $300 item. I agreed to that price on the app and he drove from Peoria to Chandler to pick it up. Shows up and tried to give me $75. I showed him the post that said $275 was the price agreed through the offer-up and he threw a major fit, cussed me out because I 'wasted his time' and left. His excuse is 'he didn't know he pressed the number 2 when he sent me his offer".

That's how I work. Guy had a Klipsch 5.1 speaker setup list for $450. I was at his house in 30 min, cash in hand. Didn't even try to low ball him since the deal was so sweet to begin with. I showed up, listened to speakers, he helped me load them into the truck, gave him cash and was on my way. Took less than 1hr from start to finish.

I’m @Nitori s defense I do know he look he is going for, and I actually like it. However I’m not sure I like the different height look. I would have stayed with something more like this.

    B5D3E759-EB4E-494E-A0BA-E353236DA40D.jpg

Granted that’s all in total about $6,000 in light which is incredibly stupid, but yeah.

In general I think people put a lot more light then they realistically need on their trucks. Our race truck can run balls to the wall with just 30” of KC flex’s. Not ideal but in. Pinch works.

But lights are fun, and I like em so it’s fun to have a lot lol

I counted 15 x 9500 lumens per. 142,500 lumens total  Personally I rarely drive with both my High Powers on, and I just swapped my XL80s to amber. There is such a thing as too much light, it just not as much fun to talk about being responsible hahaha
