Not to mention, it probably still has that "new car smell."

There are a few crappy pics on the lastest post in the link in my signature. If those don't do it for you I can take a few more. I'm really digging the new stance. And the ride quality is much much better than the stock SR5 components.

Correct, the 2018s TSS system relocated the front sensor behind the Toyota logo on the 2018s. Thus the issue of installing a PRO grill will require a supposed recalibration of the TSS by a dealer because the sensor would have to be reposotioned to the lower part of the grill as found on PRO models.

The new 2018 grill toyo logo has a clear cover encompassing the entire logo footprint, so aesthetically, it looks better without the plastidip.

I used the Plasti Dip brand that you can get at any Home Depot, Lowes or other similar stores.

    Awesome man, looks good!

I still preferred to use plasti-dip for a few reasons:

    1. I dipped most of the chrome on my taco (grill, taco emblems and toyo exhaust tip), just didn’t do the headlight/side mirror indicator chrome deletes.

    2. Only $6 for a can of plasti-dip and an afternoon. Used up almost a full can.

    3. I don’t like the shiny glare of the metallic black paint found in the grill. Preferred all my blacked out pieces to have the same look/texture. Also matches my Diamondback cover better as it’s coated with black line-x.

    Home depot. Like 1$.
Its a 3/4" grommet. Cut the bottom of it a little bit and shove it in there. Been holding for over a month now without falling out once.

Thanks! Yours looks good as well...

I did the plastidip thing on the emblems and front bumper ends of my previous Tundra after installing the Pro grille and bulge...after a few washes, I vowed never to use it again.

EDIT: There may be a Diamondback in my future...those things are sweet!

I installed TRD pro grille with garnish which slid my sensor down and it still works exactly as it did before the grille install.

It looks great but did you replace the upper control arm? heard you can have some problems if its not replaced when you get up there to two inches.

My choices were the full OME Kit with Dakars, or the 5110s w/888s and a HS 3 Leaf AAL or what I went with.

I had a lot of great support from HS and from a well respected member. I'm sure if you asked 50 people the same question you will get 50 different answers so the choice was tough. My guy actually suggested the 5110s. Said they'd be perfect. Of course, he said the 6112's and 5160's would be stronger. Yes, Money was an object. But I am not one to skimp on certain things. Aesthetics yes. Performance no.

What really sold me was this direct quote from Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road

"I usually say that if the 5100 and a coilover unit like Fox 2.5 had a baby, the 6112's would be what you get."

So I feel confident I made the right choice. Again, were the JBAs necessary? Maybe not, but now I know I have a completely bullet proof (for my needs) set up. Maybe later I will add some Wheelers U Bolt flip kit Bump Stops if I find I need to. I really like that kit.
