There is this, and you could mount some extrusion to the side and attach it to this - but then you gotta stick hoses in through your tent window and that kinda sucks.

I think going through the cubbies is the best for external mount.

Couldn't you also route through the smaller cubbies on the middle/upper bed sides? it would require more routing/ducting work but would keep you from having to cut holes as well.

Same problem. I have the HS2211, and was looking at ways to mount externally in the rear fender. I did a rough sketch a while back on mounting it horizontally, similar to the air compressor bracket people have done in this space. To get it in there from underneath you'd hang it (red) after the bracket has been installed, and bolt it down. Goal was to make install/removal easier, and not take up space in the bed. One or both ducts could then route to cubby (as they face frontward toward the wheel well) or drilled as vents into composite sides. Gas input would need a 90* bend to avoid the tail light and then have a quick disconnect at the bumper. Exhaust flu / air inlet points down. Space is premium down there, so also looked at a vertical situation, but didn't like hanging it much lower. Need to revisit before winter...

    Check out the build
The instructions on the propexes say you can't mount the fans facing directly up or down, the bearings will fail prematurely. They can be mounted in any direction where the fans are on their side.

Has most everyone been using the 1010 extrusion from 80/20?

I’ve been buying extrusion from Granger if I need it that day, or have been ordering it from tnutz as they ship same day and it’s cheaper.

Roger that, thanks for the info. I was mainly curious of the extrusion model. 1010 is 1”x1” I believe

3/8” won’t fit. I used used panel mounts to attach the 3/8” plywood. Not as strong, but you can remove them easily.

You can also swap them based on your changing style. I’ve been thinking of sandalwood lately...

Finally more or less wrapped up Propex installation and got it working.

Changed some cables and got a two stage regulator and it fired right up. Puts out a pretty crazy amount of heat so kind of excited to get to use it.

Still need to make a mount for the regulator but other than that it’s pretty much done.

I do plan on getting a panel mount propane detector and thermometer and attaching it near the Propex controller.

    Couple small recent additions.

Got tired of waking up to the sun every morning (how do GFC people deal with that?) so bought a solar fan shade at Camping World based on @Overlanerd recommendation. Cost was like $7; if you have some reflectix and Velcro laying around you could make your own for much cheaper.

Also, made a rookie mistake and didn't check the knobs on my stove when I hooked it back up to propane so when I came back the next day my camper smelled heavily of propane. Since I keep my propane tank in the bed of the truck, decided it would be a good idea to get an LPG alarm.
