CB radio power.. where to plug into?

where do i plug in my power for the CB radio so it turns on when the truck turns on.. can you get a pic please? i currently have it run to the battery.. just annoying to turn it on and off.. pics please.. pics pics pics!!!

IM LOOKING TO PUT IT IN A FUSE BOX OR SOMETHING.. just not sure where.. thats all im looking for.

Grab a multi-meter and start probing the fuse box.

If it matters... I have heated seats that I used an 'add-a-line' to the fuse box empty slot. Just make sure - whatever you do - you're using the proper circuit/amps/fuse, etc. I am not necessarily telling you to use this exact spot. It's just what I used. Again - get a multimeter and use it!

Here's a picture off my 2007 interior fuse box.

 

If you move the wire from the battery and tap it into the cig lighter, you will then have it on switched power, which will only be powered when the key in turned on. Fairly certain this is what menametony was telling you. If you want to wire it to the fuse box, find the fuse for the cig lighter.

solid.. thanks guys.. and yah i thought he meant plug it into the cig lighter.. like use an adapter and have wires hanging out on the inside of the cabin.. i want it hidden..

 

wire it to the cigarete lighter circuit, it will turn on and off with the key. unless you have done the always on mod.if you hard wire it you will still be able to use the outlet for your phone charger, ipod etc

 

Where is this always on mod for the cigarette lighter at? I have searched everywhere lol
