Anybody shoot out near Maricopa? Gonna be living out there and I know we're pretty well hemmed in by Gila River and Ak Chin.

I've gone out here a couple of times, it can get a little busy at random times and a bit unorganized if others are out there shooting too) Stripe of BLM land just outside of Maricopa.

What’s everyone’s thought on the Springfield saint vs the ruger ar-556 as a complete off the shelf ar? They both seem very comparible, chambered 5.56, similar barrel length, and function is presumably the same.

 

I would lean towards the Saint, the one time I was able to try a Ruger AR I was not impressed. Never fired one, only fondled a couple of the Saints but they seem like a decent setup for the price.

 

That’s what one of my coworkers was saying as well. It seems to be solid for the price and overall quality. Thank you for the reply

 

What are you looking to do with it?

 

Target shoot, home protection and for fun

 

For those purposes I think the Saint will fit your needs! Do it!
I’m always up to help throw lead down range!

 

I would check PSA also, they have some awesome deals on AR's pretty often.

I REALLY need some lead therapy.
Headed out a couple times next week, it's been to long.

 

Got out today with a buddy of mine who is starting to really get into shooting. Got him hitting the steel at 300yds no problem. Hes hooked on long range though. Want to get him out shooting past 500 at some point.

Went to the rio salado range. Theyre really anal about the rules which i understand but some of them seemed a bit much.

 

New FDE mount on the 16" Larue. Have had the scope for many years.
Also got the SBR reconfigured and back together. Furniture, non-adjustabele BCG (used to be 100% suppressed) sights, and red dot.
Will sight those in and plat with a a few wheel guns tomorrow.

 

So, when are you folks gonna start coming over to the dark side and shoot some pistol matches?
