Since it's going on the back of the truck, why not pick up the reverse wires at... the reverse lights?

Yes sir it does run under there. Then it goes to a plug under the driver seat. Just checking with people to see if the black and red one is the correct one.

because the power wire that ties to the reverse light wire is behind the radio. I would have to run a wire all the way to the back. The camera wire is a different wire.

I use dual Viair 444C, they put out more and are cheaper. Might be worth looking into

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Mine has been a DD for almost the entire time I've owned it (14 years).

Drove a Ford Escape for a DD for a couple years when I was making a 3.5 hour (round trip) commute tho.

    I appreciate the explanation.
I have a lot to learn. Now I wish I had studied electrical engineering rather than horticulture. Let me know if you buddy has anything he would like to add.

Nah, tank is unnecessary unless you're running horns or really taking the air tool thing to heart (also unnecessary)

    This is my setup...

I just went from my 00 prerunner to a 2010 t4r trail edition with 53k miles so can't speak for the limiteds,

Have to say. Hoeleefuk what a difference. 4runner is luxury, seats are comfy, ride is smooth, can get a range about 460 miles and thats 23.6 mpgs on this current tank, sunroof, back seat is super roomy, I can still sleep in the back with the seats folded down, just feels great.

Was in the market for a 12-15 gen taco - double cab 4x4 - but after test driving them and finding that they cost low to mid 20s with little higher miles, I decided that I really did not need a truck. My taco has a shell and I use it to sleep in so it seemed to be wasted space. If I got a 12-15 taco it would be a shortbed and I can't even fit in that. Also looking to start a family so the backseats in the taco are not the too friendly. So test drove a 4runner, just felt more solid (not cheap?) than the taco, also built in Japan so that's cool. Found this one on Carmax and bought it outright

So did tie onto the tail light or the factory harness? If you tied onto the factory harness was it the red and black wire?

Cool thanks I’ll test wires when I get home and start with the red ones. Appreciate it.

Their nice, until the throwout bearing starts chirping. From what I read, its a common issue on 2nd gen manual trans. No real long term fix either.
