Anyways not gonna lie no knowledge of turbos, learning alot. Now have more questions obviously. Falling in the realm of the people who dont know, understand, or can make an educated decision on this. I'm just here for the awesome engineering in ov's part, thinking outside the box, and offering multiple different platforms based off of peoples desires. He nailed it.

So basicly well never see legal boost in California. SMH. Uninstalling every 2 years for a smog sounds like a real pain in the ass.

 

New CA cars get 6 years before first smog check. Maybe by then there will be a CARB compliant option.

 

Yeah i know that, im saying after that it is every two years. Ide have to go back to stock for each smog or find a guy i can pay off which i found out is a federal crime LoL, damn i hate california sometimes.. Doesnt Matt live in CALI? Oh wait he moved right?

Yup. I was wrong when I said that. Thermo-efficiency is increased because the Turbo is using wasted exhaust energy, and that's why is more efficient.

I guess my post is another example of Turbo and, even worse science, ignorance.

 

Thanks. I wasn't aware of that law of physics. To be honest, I thought intercooler was used because the compressor sits directly opposite of the exhaust.

I didn't take any science classes in college other than Astronomy and Geology. I guess that's no excuse though.

 

Can also use methanol/water injection to lower intake temps. Really cheap after initial setup.

 

But you run the risk of atomizers failing

 

Buy a second property for the Tacoma not in Cali. Seems reasonable to me

URD sells aftermarket clutches for 3rd gen. never heard of anyone buying it. not too sure how much horsepower it handles either.
