I want to believe its some poor shmuck's job to individually hole punch and tape standard US paper together to recreate dot matrix paper.

 

Dot matrix is still used

But the technology has improved

I know. Just definitely not commonplace anymore. POS systems use thermal paper, and scientific equipment uses ink.

 

I once interviewed with a large company that was stoked that I had used AS400 for three years in college. This was 2010.

 

I see it with crabon paper for invoices

Cutting and crimping hundreds of feet of wire takes a toll on you.

Have you thought about making a wire harness board? I once toured a plant that make harnesses for skid steers and that's what they use.

 

Or manually punching holes in dot matrix printer paper by hand.
