I sprayed some matte clear. I'll see what that looks like tomorrow.

Almost finished with my old wheels.

It's Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Enamel. Produces a pretty good finish. Took me a while to get the technique down. There's some surface prep too.

    Old finish, same paint.

Thanks. It surprised me. I've used that paint before and I didn't like it. A lot of paint comes out compared to the Dupli-Color I've been using. I just had to get my speed and distance right.

It does take some time. Doing all four simultaneously in assembly line fashion speeds the process up quite a bit.

Did a lot of wet sanding on these.

Then I fucked up and grabbed the wrong can again.

 glad those springs are not in my scrap pile. Its a good thing you grab them when you did. I took all my scrap truck and metal to the scrap yard yesterday. 500lbs of metal recycled. :bananadance:

Not enough to have a build thread.
So.... does anyone have any suggestions for my first time?

    Smoking meat that is.

A buddy recommended St. Louis ribs. Says pork is forgiving and ribs are cheap.

    @tyfoon11
@Goobersbro (I think I remember you posting some that you smoked)

Recommend a bootectomy. My shocks were installed upside down (boots up on 1st gen). After I noticed it, I had a shop flip them around while I was getting an oil change and a bunch of water came out. Drove like that for a while then decided to cut them off. Found dirt and water collecting in the bottom. The weep holes do nothing.

    Easy to do, consistently good.
I have a basic recipe I use as a base then add from there.

What are you using to smoke?

I agree pork is forgiving. Pork butt turns out great too if you have the time.

Chicken thighs are also super easy and come out great.

Generally with pork you want to be in the 225f-250f range. Chicken you can do 275-300f no problem.

I want to cut the boots off the coilovers on the Lexus. All coilovers for these sedans come with boots for some reason.
