No hassle whatsoever. I have been dealing with a service tech there for issues with the new TRD cold air intake and I mentioned this, he ordered the parts, and it was completed without question. So far, this service department is very helpful.

    Dave Edwards -- Spartanburg SC..

told them the issue, said there is a TSB.. offered to give it.
no problem.. ordered the parts and all is good....

I was just in this week for an oil change and tire rotation... 25K miles...
paid less than $30! they have coupons everytime...

when I was in there was a discussion with one of the sales guys--
Known him for years, used to live next door to him..
He was telling me how many customers they have that come from as far as Columbia, SC and Charlotte for service.. and I have met a couple.....

    anyway-- they are good!

Pearson Toyota in Newport News, VA is doing mine...I had to go through the whole "inspect the truck" thing and explained to them that rear sagged to much with what I considered a light load...tech told me "you do realize this will give you a stiffer ride, right?" I told him "I did buy a TRUCK"...

Today, while at Magic Toyota in Edmonds Washington, getting the throttle recall taken care of on my wife's '08 Prius (which was a totally unnecessary recall in my humble opinion), I quizzed a service manager there about getting the rear leaf springs replaced on my '09 Tacoma TRD Sport. He responded by saying he'd never heard of this TSB, nor had he heard about the TSB which addresses the transmission over-revving problem. He did manage to find the spring TSB on his computer, after which he said they'd have to inspect the truck to see if it really needs these "repairs" performed, but he won't have enough staff to do that for a couple of weeks. What's with that? A previous post said they had good luck at Toyota of Kirkland (WA), so I guess I'll try them next. I'll let you all know how that turns out.

This is my first post, so hopefully I'll no longer get the somewhat irritating note at the top of the page urging me to write something. I've been a regular reader of tacomaworld.com for quite a while now, and have found it very informative. It's a great place for us Tacoians to keep informed!

Mike Johnson's Hickory Toyota. I spoke with Sean May, tried to give me the runaround at first but I wasn't backing down. Only took about 15-20 minutes. Ordered the parts and installed within a week!

Got my rear tsb and the ride and cornering are great however I think the steering is a bit drifty or vague. The alignment was done and drives straight with no hands. Any ideas?

Picked mine up today from Shelor Motor Mile Toyota, and WHAT a difference! Actually feels/rides like a truck as opposed to a car; got springs and new shocks front/back, and although not Billies, rides much tighter, well pleased...

A hassle to get them to agree - among other things, claimed ride could vibrate at highway speeds (unloaded) due to driveline angle change, and that another customer had insisted he get original spring put back in.

Maita Toyota in Sacramento. Called in with the complaint of the harsh ride with the bed loaded and made an appointment to have it checked out. Showed up for the appointment with the TSB in hand. They called back an hour later saying they ordered the parts and had the truck back the next day with the new springs. They're my new favorite dealership here in Sacto. :D
