Yeah, Utah is real bad for toyota buyer prices. I got my 15 TRDOR a year used with 34K on the meter for 33even OTD bone stock. I could have gotten the '16 next to it for cheaper, but I wasn't gonna deal with a 1st model 3rd gen.

Pretty sure I got my sales guy fired that night. That's what he gets for telling me "it has been a slow sales month" without knowing I'm a finance guy by trade.

The fact the writer used the word "radder" already made me decide I don't want to read the article.

The Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison Is Factory-Modded by AEV
Steel bumpers, skid plates, and an optional snorkel air intake make the ZR2 even radder.

A zr2 with the duramax at a local dealer had a 47k sticker on it.. I’d bet these will be over 50 before ttl. I couldn’t afford it without car-broking myself. I could never wheel something I spent that much on.

“The beefed-up midsize 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison increases the level of off-road equipment found on ZR2 models and adds unique aesthetic features such as a new flow-through "CHEVROLET" lettered grille. The pickup features five skid plates covering the engine oil pan, fuel tank, transfer case and front and rear locking differentials. GM partnered with off-road aftermarket manufacturer American Expedition Vehicles to create the variant. The Bison will be available in crew- or extended-cab configurations.”

And no manual trans available....to be sure, GM is coming after Toyota. Very typical American response where they offer more and better standard features at a similar price point but will end up leaving out the Reliability which is crucial to their real success.

Took the words out my mouth. I was a Chevy only buyer for years, but then their reliability went down the drain. I will say, it has started to make a turn for the better though, however they have not done enough to earn my business back.

AEV Taco would be awesome, but then it would have to be called a JEV Tacoma.

    looks like a great truck.

Chevy puts good efforts into their models.

My uncle's 2000 silverado is still going strong on the OEM power train. This isn't the 1980s or early 1990s. GM cars are fairly reliable these days.

Toyota can't just hide behind their reliability blanket anymore.

The ZR2 Bison is on the Raptor's level now. The TRD pro isn't even in the same league as the Bison.

No pricing set yet. Probably 50-55? I smell a shootout...Raptor, Bison, Pro, maybe Scrambler. GM's reliability does seem to be much better than a few years ago as well. Cool looking truck.

Probably pretty good offroad til you rip off a shock mount over a rock.

No it's not. How does the TRD pro compete with the Bison?

The Bison has better shocks, better powertrain (300HP gas and a Diesel option), rear disc brakes, Apple car play and Android auto, better tires, Full Armor complement, and each year the Zr2 looks better and better aesthetically.

How did they manage to keep their ground clearance at 8.9"? Stock SR5 Tacoma has 9.4".

Everyone talks about the low shock mounts, I was in the woods this week and looked at 2 newer super duties and they are as bad or worse than the zr2

You forgot the front and rear lockers. It's a cool truck, just going to be crazy expensive.
