I have debated on it a couple times, and even took a few minutes to admire the handy work first hand. It doesn't meet my applications. I use a tailgate extender for my kayak and really long lumber. Very well thought out and well built though. I like the spare tire carrier as well. That is an area i need to find a solution to, but think I will make a mount for the bed rail since i run a topper.

See I had an old version that I sold, but I really miss having the spare out of the way. I need to make a fold down tailgate with the spare on it lol

I was actually thinking that would be more functional with me as well. Then just figure out a quick disconnect for when you need the tailgate down for a more extended period. For me using the tailgate extender.

I would first have to aquire the skills. I can do a farm fix if needed, but my fabrication skills minimal. I'll start will a mount for my bed rails. It'll be hidden so i don't care about looks as much there.

I was thinking that when I was at your place. Just haven't decided if I want to get rid of it. But let me know what you need and we may be able to work something out.

Went to scout a new hunting area near where i hunt in the national forest. The hole that inspired the lift and skids is worse than ever. I was able to make it through with no clearance issues.. I was also able to properly stuff the front end, and I am glad to report that after 2 alignments and some minor trimming I no longer rub anywhere. Now to get fluid filmed and an exhaust re-route and I am set for winter. :spending:

Not sure in Pittsburgh, maybe check with @MidnightRebel07. I have an old guy locally that does it. I'm going to give him a shot because it is all he does, and his personal vehicles are immaculate. My brother in law did it himself with a cheap cambell hausfield spray gun. I have more rust than i care for, so i am going to start to restore the frame next year. I just figured this would protect it for the winter.

@MidnightRebel07 what he said above. Do you know a good place in the area?
It's the first time I'm doing it since I got the truck. Starting to notice a few tiny minor spots of surface rust here & there.
