Lucky. My adventure today is figuring out how to man the quarter million in drywall work I won this week.

I don’t think it was any scheme, or premeditated. I think they got too big for their britches. They obviously care a lot about the customer. Probably too much. To the point it affected their bottom line. Hindsight is always 20-20... they could have easily put a cap on preorders, but they kept taking new clients. The amount of work they have is daunting.... each one of those bumpers in ideal working situations is 8+ man hours. Then add custom details... keep track of it all... good god. Someone said 400+ back orders?! That’s well over a year’s worth of work for one person just to get caught up. I can only imagine what Tyler and Satin must be feeling...

Like you, I seriously doubt it was premeditated! As a customer myself they always answered questions promptly and honestly.

I would think that after all this time they would have a good idea of how they needed to keep their overhead in order to keep profitable. Make so many of these in this time frame make X amount of money to pay X amount in overhead, payroll etc. Maybe that is why I was speculating that it was something unexpected like a law suite or something along those lines

I think they probably took more orders in anticipation of moving to a bigger facility, but like you said it looks like some outside factors are affecting things. Who knows what. They’re established, so I would think they know the ropes at this point... but like Rebecca said in the pelfrey thread, they floated. Haaaahd. I take deposits for materials, only when I know I can get to them. Otherwise I buy my own metal and just work materials into the final cost. It works out pretty well.

Has anyone considered doing the CSF aluminum radiator upgrade?

More efficient radiator when you need it - day to day driving not so much however on the last trail run it was pretty hot out and my truck was overheating. I'd rather not ever experience that scare again.

At the RI spot you were overheating? Have you tried cleaning the find on your radar with one of the little tools? A lot of times just hosing it off doesn't clear the crap from between the fins.

Yes but I am waiting for them to come out with the specific one for the Tacoma's. If your thinking of doing it please call in and ask when they are coming out with the one especially made for our trucks. The more people that ask the quicker they will make it

I had that happen once and I hosed off the radiator and a ton of shit came out. After that it never happened again but it does make me think about doing the upgrade

Replacing the rad isn't that bad either, I had to my FJs last winter after a chunk of ice speared it at the RI spot. But if you only need to clean it then no need to change. Plus an alum rad won't prevent mud and shit clogging it.
