I do have an ig, but it’s a gaint mess of everything. I keep it vanilla on there. There is very little truck stuff on there too. This thread will have everything that I do related to the truck. Stay tuned this fall more boost coming and turbo swap with some under the hood work.
I just use ig for hott chick butts and look at other cool stuff I can’t afford.

Collecting parts right now for it. New intake, chop and rework manifold, new downpipe into 3" exhaust and 14" muffler. Trying to lower the turbo an inch this time since I'm ditching the internal gate.

Even doing some work under the hood.

Still working on your other project?
I have a pte 5557 with a t51r mod. Going from internal gate to external is a lot of work. Pretty much another turbo build.

Yes I am, and yes it is. I thought going to internal would be easy. Came across realities that I didn't account for, when it was do or die time, as I had to be at work the next morning. Sigh.

Pretty sure that Ive got it all figured out for this next go around.

What is your header like? Can you mount the wastegate to the underside?

It’s going to be ugly this first go around. Turbo going to be same area it is. Wastegate will be at the collector with an elbow. Once I get it in place i can make a jig and do a tubular manifold. Not doing this style but my collector will be like this.

Nope no tig. Don’t think I have the time to learn it right now. Might tack it lightly and have someone weld it. Who knows I might get one. Love the freedom of doing everything myself.

Did a bit of work. Added an intake temp sensor right before the throttle body. Now I'll be set for boosted air temps. Also now have an electronic boost control solenoid hooked up. Even some hood pins as I'm slowly cleaning up this engine bay. Haven't drove it yet to tune with the new parts. Picked up another throttle body to clog up all those vacuum ports I don't use. Still collecting parts for the new turbo install. For now let's see what a $160 eBay turbo does when you add more boost.

It looks like plumbing pipe because it's all elbows. I just grabbed the pic off Google. I'm thinking sch 10 is probably strong enough. Haven't played with plumbing pipe yet.

Not really sure what the difference is it is just the nominal thickness differences. Anyway, this is why I said 40. You know better than I, so I'll wait for the lesson.

Exactly, just wall thickness is the difference. Good prices on that link. I'll save it.
