Did a bit of searching on my slow phone and couldn't find any pics... So does anybody have pics of a their clock on a first gen? Also, is the sr5 package required for a clock?

My '04 has no clock and I need one for my job. I have two headunits that don't appear to display a clock. I've seen the clocks you clip on or glue onto your interior but they look like crap IMO. Curious to see if I could mod a similar thing or get a clock or dash from a junk yard

So it's in that small plastic valley left of the fan speed knob? If so, how well can you see the time? I have that little valley too and considered putting an adhesive clock but my steering wheel blocks most of the visibility.

My first Toyota was a 94 base model. Where the clock was suposed to be, was a blank plate. Plugged in behind the plate was the wiring harness for the clock. The plate was held in with 2 screws. I bought the clock from the dealer and plugged it in. Not sure if it's that simple anymore. Good luck.

The OEM Tacoma clock is in a bad location where most drivers can't easily see it (it's obscured by the steering wheel).

Unless there's some reason you really need the OEM clock, you're probably better off just getting a good watch.

That's what I'm thinking too. I'd get a watch but it's hard to hand toss pizzas at between deliveries at work. I think i'm out of luck for clock that doesn't look tacky and could be read easily. Idk, maybe I could fix up a mod later this summer if I get creative enough. For now, I'll use my phone in the cup holder for a clock.

I wish, but I'm broke. I've got a $1,500 nav/DVD/stereo unit in my garage. It won't show the time according to the manual unless it's in a certain menu, and I need a map disc in order to use it which I'm saving up for. The stock unit I'm using now won't show time either.
    Sometimes I get a little picky :)

buy a timex w/a velcro strap (wal-mart?), and wrap it around your mirror or gearshift...much easier to see than the oem clock...imo.

It's been a long time but my 96 didn't have a clock. I bought the OEM clock and a bezel. The wiring should already be in place - just plug it in.

    cellphones have clocks

your $1500 head unit should also be modern enough to display the time on every screen it has.

I have yet to see a dvd/nav/stereo that doesn't. What model head unit do you have?

The only thing I did not like about my 04, was the clock placement. The engineer must have been asleep that day. Much better on my 2010.

eclipse avn 5435. Circa 2005. I skimmed through the manual and didn't see a single screenshot displaying the time. Didn't come across any info about displaying a clock either
