There are folks here with 400,000 miles on their trucks that have changed the oil at 10,000 miles. I've been doing so since new and am at 190,000+. I fully expect at least 300,000 and probably more. In fact 10,000 miles is quite conservative if you use synthetic.

The lift and bigger tires will do far more to shorten the life of your new truck than 20,000 mile oil changes. The ones that go 400,000+ miles are the ones left stock.

All of the above advice applies to Jeep or any other vehicle you choose to buy.

I know 10K is the suggested interval. I just feel more comfortable at 5K. And with the Taco in the air for the tire rotation just do it.

Every 100 miles and you may make it to 20,000 miles if you are lucky

Give me a couple more months and you can come by my new station. Still working out details, but the idea is to offer an oil change while you are pumping gas. This way every time you get a full tank of gas you will get fresh oil, and your truck should make it about a year past the warranty expiration.

Awesome, see you every half a tank. Do you check transmission fluid too? I tried to get my dealer to check it, but they said since I’m returning it tomorrow there’s not enough time to let the transmission cool off. I put in a call to Toyota corporate, let you know how it went at my first gas oil transmission fluid stop.

I would recommend every 183.45 miles. Sometimes you will be better off to reuse the oil, but if you do so... I would recommend straining it through a coffee filter and only reuse the oil 2 times, any more than 2 and you run the risk of running dirty oil. Remember to change the oil filter every time you change the oil. Hope this helps.

Leave the truck outside without any windshield cover, get inside on leather seats and you will sing "balls of fire"...

I would offer trans check and fill, but my previous business I advertised a trans check, lets just say that didn't go so well.:(

I changed mine at 3980. Sent it to Blackstone. May have even made a thread. I think that was a little late. If I had it to do over, I'd change it at 2k, then the 10k intervals.
