That's the 1st time I seen that vid, I had originally seen something else on an Australian IG page a long time ago...

 

Honestly, after the seals in my rear ARB started leaking so bad that the locker wouldn’t activate in Moab last year, I would consider the Harrups and deal with the 1/4 to 1/2 turn situation.

Sure, ECGS fixed it for free. Didn’t help the rest of my week out there though.

I still have mine. Unused. I lifted the cap and looked at the seal. It was the exact seal that I bought and it looked good.

Also have the front bed rail seal, unused.

107.5 miles at the Gran Fondo NJ. Almost 8k feet of climbing.

I went with powerstop and after a few times panic braking in 81 / 83 traffic the rotors are warped lol

 

That would have killed me.

 

Did you take the time to bed them in properly?
I’ve locked the tires up, had the rotors hot enough you feel the heat from 5ft away, never had a rotor warp.

I’ve read that most of the time people feel a pulsating feeling from the brakes it’s not actually a warped rotor, but a build up from the brake pad on the rotor.

I’m no expert though.

Correct. It's actual material from the pad heat transferred onto the rotor. More common in summer months. It also happens when the brakes are hot (stop and go traffic, large hill, etc) and you sit with your foot on the brakes. It'll leave a slight amount behind which fuses onto the rotor with no way to remove it. It gives a warped feeling but it's rare for rotors to warp anymore. Disclaimer: I'm not a mechanic or engineer but have had extensive training on brakes from manufacturers since we're a sister company of a large brake manufacturer.

 

Very interesting video, had no idea there was a disengagement. Though as "instant" as the ARB is for actuation, there are plenty of times the wheels need a little spin for it to fully unlock. Tough in super tight technical spots.
