I have no idea what’s going on with that, but couldn’t it be that they’re expanding? The businesses I’ve been involved with on a consulting level would shut down for a few weeks to restructure, implement new machinery/operations, and hire new personnel. Just curious, I suppose

Do y’all take orders for product or service during that time and then just shut everyone out with no explanation? Do you encourage buyers to pay cash so they have no recourse for a refund? I understand that businesses grow and that “small business” needs to build relationships with larger businesses to foster growth. I’ve built and sold three profitable companies and through that I’ve witnessed the pitfalls first hand as well as the lean years where there was no such thing as profit as everything from the business - and more than a few part time jobs - went straight back into it. If I ever got to a position where I couldn’t provide what the customer wanted I’d politely direct them to a reputable competitor with an apology for not being able to help them myself at that time.

Regardless if it’s with a gun, a cash register, or a website, theft is theft if you take money from customers and refuse to communicate with them, provide them with the goods or services they’ve paid for, or allow them a refund on their incomplete purchase. I know I sound like a grumpy old cunt here but I’ve seen way too much of this type of behavior on TacomaWorld and other enthusiast web sites and many are ready to apologize for them with possibilities and scenarios.

They could very well be doing a restructure but they are destroying any trust their customer base had in them with the shrugged shoulder / tight lip act. No vitriol intended to be headed in your direction. I just know a few hard working folks that have allot of loot tied up, or likely lost in this circus and it stirs me up.
