I will state again, anyone in the group running the 3rd Gen. Get the new TSB. It works, I was fairly please before hand, but the TSB helps un-collar our little V6's.

I concur. Did it myself and the truck drives more like normal now. I can drive up hills on the interstate in 5th instead of 4th.

    I'm getting too excited lol
Monday I purchased Dakar leaf springs (https://bilsteinlifts.com/) and figure it would take sometime getting them, but to my surprise UPS is showing they are in Kansas now …
How sweet would that be if I could get them install this Sunday! My Taco ass (Leaf Springs) might start to smile again instead giving me that sad look lol every time I load it up with (+400lbs) work supplies …

Buddy and I are planning a NC Outer Banks road/overland trip next year. I'm selling my house (don't like it anyway) and moving into his. Will allow me to save money and get my truck set up faster. Real excited.

Well the new Dakar's EL096R came in yesterday Yea! yeah the U-bolts (round) I order came in as square one's lol really not what I order, so the flips I got from @jeff b will have to wait until I get new ones …
Now I have to figure out which leaf to take out to get to the 1.5 lift I want, any Ideas?
So who's wanting to help me to put those in lol JK, well it give's me something to do Sunday before the Chiefs game anyway, like I don't have enough to do!

Not that they are shorter, but I needed the U-bolts (round ones) like the ones you had with the flip I received from you to go around the axle but they sent the square u-bolts that go's on top of the leaf springs …
Purchase though Bilsteinlifts (6th order never a problem) on Monday. The Dakar's, bushings and U-bolts was delivered Thursday afternoon …
I've been in contact with them, the final email I received back was they are sending the correct one's and don't worry about sending back the incorrect U-bolts .. I mention I would have to use those anyway so that I can get my work truck back on the road asap and didn't have the time to wait sending back and forth.
My concern is about which leaf spring & or how many to take out of the pack to get the 1.5 height lift, I'll pull one and see how that goes lol just a trail and error thing! Be no different then what I did on my first lift, had it apart 3 other times before I was happy..
I like your shocks on Craig's list (no pic's), about a year ago I installed 6112/5160 they'll not hardcore offroad like yours but I'm mostly on-road once in while down at the farm where 4x4 is needed.
The pic … I need the new one's like on the left and they sent me the one on the right, at least they are making it right (Shit happens lol)

Well.....in order to turn the EL095R(medium duty) into an EL096R(heavy duty) you install the add a leaf in the 3rd down position. It is a full length leaf. So, maybe you could try taking that one out.
Or the thread about them that Marie from Headstrong has about them may shed some more light on that..........
We did the heavy duty conversion on our Dakar's....

Thanks for the feedback, @Slashaar told me you had Dakar's, meant to touch base with you but I was
    over-loading
    my brain lol with research..
I took the 3rd one dn out (it's a starting point), bushings all greased & installed in springs, and most of all Batteries Charged lol.
Figure I'll start around 10ish, that will give me couple hr's to have a few beers before the Chiefs game!
@Bob B what was the torque you did on those?
Now what to do with those springs and the AAL Pack, Weld them into creative art? lol
    Thanks Guys!

I just recently joined TW. I actually used to live in PV and I'm pretty certain I've seen your truck around town. I currently live just south of you in Roeland Park.
