I wonder how many salespeople will try to say you could cross the Mississippi with that DAI?

Toyota probably has a class on, what to tell customers what you can and can't do with the intake.

 

We were camping, the country of vehicles came up, one of my brothers friends is extremely outspoken. Said he only drives American made vehicles. His wife's Chevy equinox was sitting right there, I glanced at the VIN as I walked by, it started with a 2. I didn't have the heart to tell him.

 

Maybe he likes Canada, lol.

 

Still a Japanese owned company. Made mostly in America? Yes. Japanese owned? Yes.

Japanese owned but made in America. Apple, designed in California, made in China.

I was making a joke originally though ....

 

Like the new Ford Focus hybrid that was supposed to come out is/was made in China.

 

Other than the scant upgrades to the pro (Snorkel not withstanding) and the availability of Cav Blue on the Sport and OR..... what the hell is upgraded over the 2018? I've been thinking I might spring for a 2019 OR at some point, but if all that's changed is an added color, I'd be better off trying to cut a deal on a dealer stock 2018.

 

Toyota is just not that type of company. Lots of car companies offer new and different gizmos every year to entice buyers. Toyota is more like a company that sells bananas. Every year the bananas are pretty much the same as last year’s bananas, which is what you want went dealing with bananas.

 

That’s why I bought my 18 pro last week. Knew nothing major was changing and I got a steal on it.

 

Placed an order on a 2019 Pro, guess I will see what color they get first. Own a super white sport with all the Pro mods now. Like black, but can’t do it. Will see if I can stomach VooDoo in person, if first available on the lot.

 

Many Toyota customers keep their vehicles for more than 5 years. A survey showed that 9 out of the top 10 vehicles with the longest ownership terms (more than 15 years) were all Toyotas.

Toyota probably has the least incentive to put out new models. Toyota customers don't turnover as often.

 

Can't tell you how many of my friends drive "American" cars made in Mexico and Canada. I do try and support USA MADE products as much as possible.

 

Any car that is "assembled" in North America has parts made in all nafta countries.

A Chevy made in canada might have an American engine, Canadian tranny, and Mexican wheels/dash/battery etc.

The American engine might have Japanese pistons, American crank and head forgings, and a Mexican cast block.

Nafta cars are the price they are because the makers have pursued extreme efficiency for 20 years. Each part is made where it makes the most sense.

If Donald tariffs "Canadian" cars (Chevy/dodge/ford) you can bet Americans will be paying a lot more for a new car.

Grabbed this from the 4runner forum, but I'm digging the voodoo blue.

 

It seems so much...blue-er, without the white roof on the FJ to break it up a bit. I’m sure it will look different in person, just like cavalry does

 

I can promise you people will like this blue a hell of a lot more than the Cav blue. Not trying to get you all pissy, but the voodoo blue is actually appealing.

 

I can honestly say that is the last color I would pick. I guess I'm getting more conservative in my old age. Not a fan of the Cav Blue either, and although I like Inferno, I doubt I buy a truck in that color.

 

Army green!!!!

I plan on driving my gen 2 for another 8 years then gifting it to my (16 years old at that time) son.

But if an army green pro came out, I would buy it. Hypocritical since I always considered people who buy cars for the colour crazy.

 

The 2020 Pro will probably be H.R. Pufnstuf Yellow
