Set of 2 Diff Breather Balloons - $19.97 + $14.32 Shipping and Handling

Quality differential air is an often overlooked item when maintaining top vehicle performance. As you drive, your differential heats and cools, causing air to escape and be pulled in through the breather. This can result in fouled differential atmosphere by introducing contaminants such as dirt, dust, and moisture, decreasing performance and the service life of the fluid. Don't let your diff air escape or be contaminated, regardless of where you drive! These quality Diff Breather Balloons will keep your system sealed and extend the service life of your differential fluid. Also effective in containing environment-harming fluids in the case of a rollover. No re-routing needed, just attach over existing breather and drive! Best of all, you can share one with a friend!

Aren't the rear diffs only using a one way breather that only lets air escape and not sucked back in?

That's impossible. And don't bring science into this. I need to sell some dang balloons.

Do you have any with stuffed animals inside, or similar?

    Might be interested.

Yes, Diffs have one way valves. These would fit into the expandable diff breathers category, which is still sealed to stop contaminants from getting sucked in. idk if I'd trust a balloon.. but same concept as the Trail Gear ones.

Not baggin' I am actually curious as to how these work and would love to see a write up of said breather mod. These third gens are known for having issues and some are alluding to it being because of the OEM breather. I, like many others, have used the extension hose and filter/"2 way breather" but having more options is always good

Those are available from my supplier but are of a much lower quality, do not fit well, and tend to slip off. The result of that failure is expensive and long-lasting.

You guys are smart! Let me explain.

A one-way breather (that I don't believe in, but let's say it actually exists) allows air out but not back in. This can create negative pressure within the diff, causing air or worse to be drawn into the axle assembly through other routes, like axle seals (which also don't really exist, but the solution for that is still in R&D). The beauty of the balloon is that due to the surface tension of the inflated balloon due to expelled air, it can hold that "one way" fantasy valve open for air to re-enter the diff as needed.

These fit both the front and the back, correct?

But are they properly prelubed? If not, what quantity/grade/brand do you recommend?

So, yeah, this was supposed to just be a joke for fun (and there was a double-dog dare involved). Nobody was ever supposed to take it seriously. Not really trolling, but I can see how it could be viewed as that.

Yes, they fit both, but it's more fun to share with friends.

They come non-lubed, but a little spit should do the trick.

I’m still on the fence. Not sure if the ladies will think it to forward of me to show up with a large red one on the front.

Well, you know what they say. Man who sits on fence gets sore bottom! We might be able to do other colors if we can get a group buy going.
