I just swapped my solid for a OEM slider 2 weeks ago. Love it so far!
    20180818_192807.jpg

I did it myself, and let me tell you....Next time I'm paying someone to do it, my fingers fell off from pushing the seal into the frame...:bananadead:

Edit: By the way I see people (@zero4 , @SilverGhost ) mentioning they may want a solid window, I have one laying around if anyone is interested. Located in central Texas.

I can't wait to get mine out back in with a new gasket after the repaint. The state of your gasket show how much my gasket has shrank.

Is this a 12v source? My dash cam needs to get out of my 12v plug and a rear-view mirror that needs power for temp/compass is on my list this weekend. These are thin gauge wire on the connectors so the draw needs to be minimal to prevent heat degradation of the shielding correct?

I doubt the dash cam and mirror will pull enough amps to hurt anything but I have never ran power from inside the cab, only direct from battery.

Any advice regarding that? I was going to make a separate thread about this mirror tonight so I'll do that too.

I've had no issues. You just pull the output line and turn the truck on. Let it pour out a quart or so. Fill it back up. Keep doing that till the fluid looks new. Takes about 5 gals or more of fluid though..haha

It's only a 12V source when the back up light switch is activated through the placement of the transmission shifter location in reverse.

Are you trying to power the RV mirror and dash cam only with the truck on ACC or running? If I'm reading that right?

I'm looking for a power source inside the cab that will power both in the "Accessory" and "on" positions. I want to potentially make a small fused connection to power any other low-draw devices too. I pulled this mirror from a 3rd gen 4runner and it was spliced into a connector behind the driver-side kick panel. I don't know if our trucks have the same power source there or not. Either way, I want to do it right to prevent any battery leeching or electrical problems.

Okay. I'd use an mini blade atc add-a-fuse. Add it to the interior fuse box and run both circuits off that. You'll have to run the grounds to a cab ground point.
It'll be Alot easier than removing the seat. Just the lower valence under the steering wheel.

On my truck the top left fuse holder had an available spot during ACC key-on.

The slot directly above the 15A ECU-IG fuse.

Thanks for the pictures. that helps a lot. I like to run off the fuse box if possible to keep everything tidy.

I posted a thread with my problem(s) in more detail and some pictures.

I had concerns the rear of this skidplate was lacking. And it was a really well functioning dirt scoop. Should be more solid and slide instead of scoop now.

I'm not a huge fan of add-a fuse's, but at least they're not a quick-splice which nicks your oem wiring harness. They're fairly clean and completely removable.

The one I have the picture of is to power my fridge monitor. I ran the wire up the A-piller behind the Oh-shit handle bezel and tucked it up underneath the head-liner. Worked out pretty well.

Shipping is an option, not that I feel like packing it up into a box in a way it won't break, but I'll let go of it for $30.

I'd be happy to send you $30 for it if you still have the box from the new one or something similar to pack it in. I can give you a FedEx label once you have dimensions and weight.

Unfortunately I don't have a box I would be comfortable sending it in. It would need to be the rigid compressed cardboard and have padding all around so it can't move. The last thing I want is for you to get a broken window... That would suck for both of us. I would be fine with a TW express solution if you can find someone.

Edit. Don't want to clog the thread, PM me with any more replys.
