Nope been doing this since the original Toyota pickups.
But they are trying to make the time frames shorter!

    A thing or two...
Rust is a cancer. Pull that skid plate, the frame extensions and anything else that's rusty. Then clean all the rust off, and prime/paint. Otherwise your new frame is going to start looking like your old frame before too long.

Was fine this morning. Leaving work though and it struggled to start up. Was worried it was a fuel issue or something, but if its a battery, I am A-OK with it.

Today I put some touch up paint on my bumper from when I nicked it on a light post backing up... even though I had a backup camera... how did that happen... I have no idea.

    Yea I agree!
Anything I can pull I will!
Pretty sure my lack of pulling
skid was my fail! I replaced my rack and hoses because of rusted fittings. But it was my call dealer or should I say the tech that did it made it painless.

I’d stop by advance or similar and have the battery tested for free.

I got the gasket from the guy that does the "better bed lights" on here. Very nice guy.

LEDs are plug and play. May have to flip them once to get the polarity right.

Was already going in for service tomorrow morning anyway, so I'll just do it all then. The multimeter said 10.5 with the truck off, so I am going with that.

I went with black oxide steel flanged button head alloy fasteners.

Well here is ya a PITA ordeal. Had 4:11 gears put in for mileage and speedo after putting the 285's on. Well went fishing Tues. 125 miles away. Got there and something told me to check for a leak. HOLY CH-T the whole underside was washed down with gear oil. I mean it was raining oil from everywhere. Could not tell from where cause hell it was raining from spare tire, fuel tank skid plate, bumper. So I buy and refill the rear (after fishing 2 days first) and head home. It took 5 quarts to keep it wet. Come to find out and I won't say who, sent us the wrong pinion seal. You could see daylight around it. We never even thought to check it. What a helluva mess under my truck. It won't ever rust. Stinks to high heaven. Filled a bug sprayer with some good Dawn and other soap and sprayed everything down and got it pretty cleaned off. A simple seal all that mess and oil.

Got my Truck paint cleaned and sealed today, It was Dark when I got home so no pictures. It rained about an hour after I got home
Next project is to get all the clear protective film removed and get those areas cleaned and sealed.

I was looking at clearing a 32 degree angle from the tire to the edge of the rear bumper. Not sure if that is enough . But I would suppose I would need clean underwear on anything steeper. Maybe not....

I finally replaced the overhead console. Got it from eBay for $75.. Smelled kinda funky and had a couple dead flies (raisins?) in the lights but I got it cleaned up and threw some LEDs in it.
